Hey thanks for this, I'll be startin my first professional paid ballet class. I've taken classes in public school and college but never in a private setting so it's nice to know what it will be like in a private classroom where one is paying for lessons. It's pretty much the same. I'm nervous but this actually helped cool some jitters.

I think making sure you know the dress code is very important. Don't assume that a black leotard and pink tights will be okay; some studios have certain color leotards for each level. Also, some studios might be very relaxed about their "dres code" and may even allow you to wear yoga pants or t-shirts and shorts. Of course you can wear a leotard if you want, but you might feel uncomfortable if everyone else is wearing more clothing. I just thought that this might be worthy of noting. Some recreational studios certainly are not too strict.
