Wow! I absolutely love them! Are they all your old pointe shoes, are they someone elses? That's a lot of them! If I tried to do that I am sure it would be disasterous! No lie! ...But great job!

I do not dance on pointe, so they´re MY shoes, but not worn by me. They´re worn by pro dancers, mostly Staatsballett Berlin dancers. Or new shoes I got very cheap because they have weird sizes.

Oh gosh! Have you showed these to a company? I am sure you could make a little on making them for cosumes for pros. They are absolutely amazing, and so inspiering to watch. You're such a creative person! Thank you so much for sharing, to a dancer, seeing decorations like that, on shoes worn by a pro is just like poetry.. |

Vladimir Malakhov owns a peacock shoe and Christiane Theobald (who´s directly behind him) owns the second one.
I made two pairs of tehm, for giving one pair to those two people.
And in the past I did sell some at ebay.

They're absolutely beautiful! I'd love to try that someday but I'm afraid they'd just end up looking ridiculous. Oh well- it would give me something to do with my dozens of old pointe shoes. |

Those....Kathy...you....AH! Those are amazing! Wow, lucky you to get old shoes from pros. That peacock one is my favorite (but it's so hard to choose!), it's so lovely and elegant. Wow. Amazing.

I´m looking EVERYWHERE.
Queen Luise and Peacock are from Castle Charlottenburg for example. Others are bought in a craftshop.

I think your napkin technique is genius.
My favorites are the big red flowers and the Queen Luise von Preussen shoes.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful, creative collection. |

Those shoes are great! I love the peacock ones. Funny to think we both liked the same pattern - I bought a mug with that said peacock on it. I`d love to have pointes fitting my favourite mug!
You have a great talent for art.. I`m amazed! |

Where can I buy napkin varnish and how much is it usually?
(I live in Canada incase it matters) |

Try in craft shops. No clue how much it´s going to be in Canada.
You acn also use normal CLEAR (!!!!) varnish that you usually use for stuff like chairs, tables, doors and so on. That´s avaible in shops that sell nails, paint, and other stuff you need for renovation of a house.

Beautiful shoes! I love them all! I am guessing even the ones with varnish on them are wearable or just decorations, I mean for hanging up and admiring?
Girl, you could make some serious money with those shoes! |
