It is with absolute horror and tears that I heard about the awful plane crash of the flight going from Porte Alegre to Sao Paolo with 200 souls on board.
I was watching other tv programs, and when channel surfing, realized that I was tuning into the news of the crash thirty minutes after it happened. I immediately notified one of our tenants, who knows many Brazilians, and we both watched the newscast in horror.
I found, from the AP article published, that the Brasilian International Airport at Sao Paolo was too short - and safety precautions to lengthen it were shelved, due to the economic dollar involved. To risk lives in circumstances like these, absolutely baffles me -- money does NOT save souls nor bring them back.
I send my deepest, most caring thoughts to those and the families of those who lost loved ones.
My most sincerest regrets.
