I am starting teaching my own classes at my studio this fall. Just wondering if anyone had some good recital music or choregraphy ideas/stories?
I am finding myself in a bit of a thought block so ideas would be greatly apperciated!!

what ages are you teaching? That can determine what sort of theme you can work around. In one of the studios where i went, one year it was a Disney theme. So all the dances from the 2-3 year olds to adults, tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop etc. were all various disney songs. it was very cute. The competition squad also did some of their choreographies, altho it didn't match the theme, they were just interspersed to give so breathing room. One time we did a broadway theme. - made it a little more difficult on the hip hop end, but we used a lot of movie music for that one.

Hope this helps, Most of all, make sure everyone has fun and enjoys it :)
Good luck!

I think that this year they are not going to do a theme and just have a showcase or do a dancing calendar theme (dances themed for each month). Ages are 2 3-4yrs creative movement, 2 4-5yrs creative movement, 1 tap/jazz 4-6yrs, 1 Ballet 5-6yrs.
Thanks so much = )
