SO I am sitting at home right now with a poopy expression on my face, wanted to get what I am feeling off my chest....and then I remembered the VENT THREAD!!! HOORAY!!

I have said this a million times, I am a small studio in a small town. We just don't have the resources to offer everything everyone wants. One scenario is this, I have to blend my advanced teens and advanced adults class because, alone, they each have 4 or 5, but together it is a nice cohesive class...so I thought. I have an adult who also is a teacher at the middle school, and she is hell bent that we spend this year on broadway tap. Mostly because she is older and this is the style she grew up with. I am a rhythm tap teacher. yes, I have done broadway tap, but I don't love and I don't think that I can give a very good advanced class in that style. So I decided as a compromise, I would have excercises that worked rhythm tap style, an excercise in Broadway, military, swing...kind of working with all the different timings you can do with tap. She loved the work with the broadway style, we had a whole time step combo. But when we learn a rhythm section at the end of class, she just pouted and leaned against the barre, and all the others in the class were fine and working hard...including all the other adults. She can sit and pout, I am not changing..HMPH!!!

Second thing that upset me today...I got an email from a mom that was upset that we had our first classes of the year before Labor Day Weekend because her daughter missed the Friday class. That just really annoyed me. The long weekend is because Monday is off, not Friday....get over it lady.

AHHHH....I love the vent thread, my husband appreciated it too.
