I just recently moved into the Weil Am Rhein (Lorach) area of Germany. What is there to do? What food should I not miss out on?

So far, I love the festivals - I went to Temba Fest today and it was great. I have 2 years to experience everything - what are your recommendations to see/do in this amazing country?

Ahw.. I think it`s quite difficult to answer your question. First of all, what do you WANT to experience? Do you speak german? Do you have the time - and money - to travel around?

As for food, I`d advice you to try Maultaschen. Those are little swabian pockets that can be boiled in a soup or served in thousand other versions. I love them, but I`m living in Freiburg in the Black Forest, which is almost the german region where they come from. There are thousand different foods in germany that are pretty good - again it depends on the type of food that you like.
