^ You just find it 'sick' because you aren't used to seeing it. People like myself who grew up doing contortion/rhythmic as well as ballet don't find it that disturbing because its something we see and do everyday. It isn't bad for you when done properly, and it has been done for...well...ever! Contortion is an ancient art. None the less, I do agree that sometimes too much can look strange if you aren't used to seeing it.

I'm sorry, but that first one is NASTY. That can't posibly be good for you even if you are trained in contortion. And look at the girl's face. She looks like she's in serious pain.

I agree it is. This is Irina Kazakova. She used to be a part of the Russian national rgym team but quited for cirqus and is now a contortionist.
