Hiya,

Sorry if I am over reacting but;

Please can everyone lock your thread if the outfit is sold/unavailable for any reason!!

I spent most of my weekend PM'ing and Emailing people about outfits but for about 99% of them I got a message back saying that they were sold.

It will make the forum look alot neater and it means the outfits which are actually still available will get more notice.

Mini-Rant Over :D

* MODERATOR NOTE:

I will start LOCKING any thread where the OP hasn't gotten back to members who are inquiring about items. IT IS THE POSTERS responsibility to get back to people. PLEASE be considerate to OTHER POSTERS and keep tabs on your postings. IF YOU are going to be away from the forums for more than a week you need to let everyone know in the thread, so people aren't left wondering the status of your thread. This especially is important if several people ask and keep asking if the item is still available.

I agree, it is very easy to lock your thread. Just go to the edit prompt and it talks you through. It really speeds up searching if things are crossed out that are no longer available.

To lock threads, go to your original thread and hit the edit button. The option to lock the thread is there. Only the person that created the thread can lock it.

I agree, I also spend a lot of time looking at costumes that I might be interested and are not locked, only to scroll to the bottom of the page and realize that it is sold!
Locking would save us a lot of effort! Thank you

Hey Moderators - another bonus would be to remove the items which have been locked out - how long do they sit on the forum before being removed?

I am very new and tried to lock my thread (which I have since done) but unless I am missing something you have to click option not edit, when you click edit it says it's too old (you have to edit within 2 hours) to edit. But I clicked option and it has the place to lock the thread.

How do you unlock a thread? I had someone say they were going to buy an item, then I didn't hear back from them.

Hi ChristinaT,

Go to the bottom of your original posting, there will be several blue buttons across the right-hand side of the text box. The 4th button from the left says "Options" - click it and on the new screen scroll down to the second option, "Lock". There will be a dialog box for you to enter the reason for locking the comment, type in "Item is Sold" or something similar.

Hope this helps!
Granter

I am trying to lock 2 items that have sold. I push edit and it says the post is too old to edit. How else do I lock threads? I have tried multiple times to figure it out.

How to lock a thread.

Go to the options tab under the original part of your advert, click it and it will take you a page with the option to lock your post.

Don't be afraid to play with the buttons at the bottom of posts, you really can't break anything.

Hi.
I am having the same problem. The original post tells me it is too old.

Any suggestions?

Thanks Rachelle

You don't push 'edit', you push'options' and it has to be on the first (or original) part of your post.
