Hello,
I was just reading KangarooPaw's post and i noticed she asked about it but never really got around to it, i would like to start and teach a stretch class. And i was wondering what you all think as i dont want to just start it without anyone participating. It would just be simple stretches and i would mostly post what i do and stretches i find on the internet :) but i think this would be very worthwhile and everyone could participate by taking the class and also adding how there progress is going and maybe if im the teacher they could pm me telling me some stretches they would like to be in the class (of course i would give them the credit for it) well anyway i think this would be a great class who would participate? please reply if you think its a good idea and you would participate.
Also this is not just for jazz people its for EVERYONE who wants to become moree flexi:D
xoxo

Hello,
If i get more than 5 votes for this to go ahead i wil start it :)
Hopefully i will get 5 votes so if i do i will hopefully start the class in the next 2 weeks and a new class will be posted every fornight (every 2 weeks) as i also have school so i will not be able to post everyweek but i will post enough stretches so you can do them everynight for 2 weeks.
thanks
xoxo

Hey,
Sorry i also forgot to add that i am also quite a beginner so i will be mostly doing simple stuff that i am up to at the moment ( i can only do the splits on one leg) and i will progress from there so if anyone is more advanced than me when i post the first class please point this out and i will give you some personal stretches for the more advanced. Or would it be better to post a beginner and an advanced class in the same post? or does anyone have any ideas for me? or should i just do what i have planned at the moment?
thanks.
xoxo

Edited by KangarooPaw (131132) on 2008-01-16 01:09:02 can't spell at 3am.
The reason I didn't get around to it was because at the time, I hadn't gotten any/enough replies. My class wasn't going to be random things found via internet, it was an actual stretch class I took at my old studio, then re-developed and now teach at my new studio, and I wanted to share it with DDN, but at that time there wasn't enough interest.

I probably won't be visiting the class often but if you need recommendations for stretches I would be happy to help. Anyone can PM me with stretching questions as well ;)

I would be interested too..How would this work? Are you just going to find stretches and post them on the board?
And this is actually great because I'm starting up dance class again next week (first time back in um..a long time.. :))

Nicole- I'll help you if you want with the advanced stretching- I've been dancing for 17 years now so I can definitely help you out in that area. [I'll probably be doing them, too, because let's face it, you can never do too many stretches!] Just let me know.

Part of my New Year's Resolution is to do more stretching, so I am interested!! It isn't like I don't know how to stretch (I've been teaching for 16 years), but I need actual motivation and a reason to do it...like this thread!!!

Nicole:
I do love your idea, and I definitely will participate in your stretch class. I recently start to stretch my body after a long rest from my injury :). I believe all dance.net members here will motivate me :). Please add me as a vote here :).
