Okay so we have been having that great controversial debate about the dorms for awhile now. I mentioned in the current post about maybe just having 3 dorms instead of 4 since only 3 dorms are ever active.
Another member thought of putting the members of Plie in the other three dorms and only putting new members in the 3 dorms (Arabesque, Attitude && Fouette). We wouldn't ask Andrew or Lihn to take Plie off (yet) but just use this as a trial. And if and then we get really active again and crowded we could branch back out into the 4 dorms.

I just wanted to know everyone's opinions on the matter before I tell the dorm sorters not to put anymore people in Plie.

It's fine, whatever happens.

I think Plie Dorm needs a few of the more experienced VIS Members to help get it to a more active stage.

Myself and other member last year attempted to help get Plie more active, and we made some progress, but that has sadly dwindled of late.

So I think that maybe if it had a greater number of helpers just to get the dorm active, then alot of progress could be made.

The reason I say this, is that alot of the Plie members are new to VIS, and don't have any experienced members or a head of the dorm to get things running. And these new people are unsure of what to do, etc because there is no organisation and then they are never seen in the dorm again.

I PMed anyone that was in Plie from a list I found and no one responded back to it, so I would only assume that they no longer have an interest in VIS.

But hey thats just my opinion.

I voted three dorms but just something to add.

When I became head. I PM'ed all the members who were supposed to me in our dorm. About 1/2 replied. And about a 1/4 said they were active. Maybe we also need to update the dorm lists. Its not much help to have a list of 15 but only 6 post. Especially if the list was from a year or two back.

I voted the ideas growing on me. I think something should be done, but anything might work. I hope this gets resolved.

I think it would be better if the Plie dorm would be removed now and revive it later on when VIS is already that active.

I belong to Plie and sadly, I don't have anyone to talk to there.

Yeah, maybe it would work better that way. I'm a member of Fouette dorm but I visit other dorms sometimes. These past few weeks I haven't stayed at our dorm really because of so many things to do...anyway...out of topic.

I voted the same. But who knows? If you and theri_dancer can make Plie more active now, then go for it! Good luck!
