Thought I'd better jump in on this wagon...Camilla is through, she is from my hometown of Ipswich! A few years younger than me but she is a name that everyone remembers from eisteddfods. I wasn't going to start watching until the top 20, but when I heard camilla got through i went back and watched as much as i could on youtube.

Tig, you can have our spare TV if you want. We were going to Freecycle it or take it to Cash Converters.

Edit: found a stream of top 100 videos. My ballet teacher from SDC, Ellen was in there In the second group shown in the clip.
www.youtube.com . . .
The little red head.
She was the only one from her choery group who didn’t get through – which is a shame, because she is just beautiful when she dances, and she has one of those fantastic bubbly personalities, just made for TV.

What the heck was with the 'hiphop' today? Really didn't like it at all, really wouldn't have classified it as hiphop at all either.
Fav routines of the night - Big Spender, the waltz, and some of the last ones. Massive heartsong to see Juliette Verne - they really should have hired her for the hiphop, and in general, much love all around and CONGRATULATIONS on the baby!
Fav dancers of the night - Camilla was a standout for me, I also think the latin guy who did the salsa was great. Didn't realise till tonight that Kassy and I are the same age - we've done some of Sue Ellen's classes together and I even took one of hers once (I thought she was older!).
I think the ballet girl will probably go - sweetness but just not very versatile.
Seramsa will/should get an offer to join Bangara. It's the perfect place for him!

Glitterfairy, that's what I said as soon as I saw him in his audition. He'll get snapped up by Bangara in no time. I love his style.

Anyone else think there's something weird with (the host) Natalie's facial expressions? It's like she's kinda drugged up and isn't quite smiling... pulling an "I don't want to be here, lord, can I leave?" face. I don't know; I just found it a bit odd.
I'm not so good with names, but a couple favourites so far are Hilton, the guy with tons of piercings (edit: argh, they voted him off!), and the guy with aerobic champ background. These guys are cool.

I thought that too. She's trying to go for empathy, but it's not working. Maybe it's botox? Has she had another nose job? Her face looks different to when she was in Neighbours. And yes, I say "another" because she had one between when I saw her in Chicago (in the chorus) and when she joined Neighbours.
Henry is Australia's Pasha. *drools*

I wub Anthony. And Henry's quite lovely too. ^___^;;
Natalie annoys me. I don't know whether it's her being fake or whether she's just too in love with herself or what (haven't seen her in anything so I wouldn't know), but there's something and I just keep thinking, "eugh, get off the TV already!"
But hey, that's just me... and at the end of the day I watch it cos I love the dancing.

I agree about Natalie. There is something not quite right about her facial expressions and just how she acts overall. She reminds me of Sandy from Grease! I was sad to see courtney go today, I thought she was a lovely dancer. Oh and is anyone else finding it hard to get used to not having screaming Mary on the judges pannel?

I think they should rename it So You Think You Can Cry or So You Think You Have A Sob Story or something like that.
it's still good though!!
I love Hilton and Anthony they are awesome some of the things Anthony can do are just jaw-dropping!
also...this will probably sound mean but does anyone else think Vanessa has a reaaaallly annoying voice?? she's an amazing dancer but her voice is just irritating lol

My mum can't stand Vanessa's voice.
I actually don't mind Natalie's voice - I can find a lot of similarities between the way I speak when I'm in 'performance mode', and how she speaks on the show.
One thing I did really hate though, was the "What did Australia think?
...
...
you'll have to wait!"
thing. Most likely she was told to do that, but a) the show went overtime, and b) it was plain stupid and unnecessary.

^She'd also pause for longer than I thought was necessary between discussing each couple's comments from the judges. I figure she was waiting for "awwwwt!" or applause from the audience.

Yes! I got sick of hearing everybody bitching in the auditions. Except for the girl who had recovered from an eating disorder. She was the only one who spoke without any kind of self-pity or attention grabbing language. I thought she was honest and open and very mature.
Grah. Hopefully we won't get any more whiny segments.
Erin.

^ i agree
i like bonnie MUCH better than mary! lol i am new here so i dont know who the host is, what is her name? she kept calling bonnie, bonnie bling, once might have been cute, but after the 2nd time it was not funny in my opinion. she does seem a bit nervous and she doesnt make the show flow.
my fav dance was the waltz. the other dances might have had some good parts or good dancers, but none of the choreography stood out as amazing.
i think courtney was right to go home because i agree with the judges that it seemed we had seen all she can do. i liked her at first but the more i saw of her the more i think she was right to go home out of the 3.
oh and yes the show went over time and my hubby was upset cause his show was next on another channel (we only have one tv right now) and i had forgot to hit the timer for my show so it was not recording and he had to wait and missed the start of his show oooopppsss.

The judge is Natalie Basingthwaite(sp?). She was Issy on Neighbours, and she also sings in the Rogue Traders. I liked her acting and I like the Rogue Traders but I dont like her on the show - my boyfriend reckons she's on crack and she can only do something well after a few goes hahaha. From live performances of her singing I thought she was alright though, I just dont think they've given her any advice on how to host properly.
I wasnt amazed by the choreography on sunday night, except for the last one to Bleeding Love (the hip hop/lyrical one) - I thought that was absolutely amazing!
The only person that I dont really like so far is Camilla, she's just a bit too over the top.

Has Sarah been eliminated?
I don't have a TV and watched the Youtube audition and she was really good! I couldn't find her in the Top 20 so I guess she got eliminated?

The sob story thing:
At the auditions you had to fill out a survey FULL of questions about possible sob-stories they could pull from you. My favourites were "What obstacles have you come across in your pursuit of dance?", "How has your family been affected by your dancing?" and "What's the biggest tragedy to happen in your life so far?" Giggle
I know Vanessa annoys some people but I just think it's they way she is. She is a strict ballet girl and religious. She seems pretty sheltered to me? (Not that all ballet girls who are religious are sheltered, I just mean her). She reminds me of a few poeple I have met. But lordy would I kill for her extension!!!!
Big Spender was the most awesome routine ever. I like Camilla because she's heaps laid back and down to earth, then when she dances she's like "Oh didn't you know I have perefect extension and placement?!" I hope she goes far!
And I'm glad Courtney's gone. She seemed a little porn star to me? I think it was just her "intense" look that gave off that vibe but I dunno.

I have some serious ladywood for Seramsa.. that boy is just divine: just the way he goes in at it head first, and he is VERY easy on the eye so is the salsa dancing bloke from Sydney uni.
Yummo!
Blown away by Camilla. liked her, but I didn't know what she was capable of up until watching 'Big spender'.. she just owned it, commanded attention, she is wonderful. I think she did well to compliment Seramsa in that number as well. Had he had more time I think he could have nailed it flat, but they did well together.
Helen, I love the fact that you used to beat Adam Williams on the esietdford circut

^Well admittedly, I never beat him at dance, because he was never in my section, but I beat him in Speech and Drama and Singing.
Oh and he was my brother's understudy in Les Mis. My brother played Gavroche and I was Little Cosette.
