About Uniquely Yours Production Uniquely Yours Production is under the Artistic Direction of Renee Cannon. It is one of Georgia's premier theatre companies. We are excited to be in our fourth year of putting on great plays that the community can be proud of.
Our mission is to provide opportunities for all to experience live theatre, especially underserved and underprivileged youth of all races and cultures. Theatre is educational, its magical and fun. The Uniquely Yours Production of "God's Trombone" stars world renowned opera singer, Theresa Hamm-Smith and features M3, a dynamic sister trio and Modernicity Dance Company exquisite dancers. This musical theater production is based on the poetry of James Weldon Johnson, who also wrote "Lift Every Voice and Sing," in 1900 for Lincoln's birthday. Johnson used his extraordinary gifts as a poet to celebrate the African-American preacher in God's Trombone. (1927) Directress Renee' Cannon combines the dramatic storyline with traditional and contemporary spirituals in this must-see production. Not just a play, but an inspirational experience!
Show starts 8:00 PM at the Rockdale Auditorium. Tickets available at the door. Price: $20; $10 children ages 12 and younger.
