Round 1 ENT.
Background:
Round 1 is a group of six talented dancers from Willingboro, New Jersey. The city is towards the southern part of NJ, but it’s not the only place in the world the group has been. We’ve traveled and performed in areas such as New York; Pennsylvania; Florida; and even North Carolina. We have been an established entertainment group since November 18th, 2005. Since then Round 1 has accomplished many things.
Accomplishments:
A few, but not all, of our accomplishments are:
-Performed and competed on B.E.T’s 106 and park a total of three times, taking home the title as best dance crew on Wild and Out Wednesday on the date of February 8th, 2006.
-Competed and won the “Reggae Dance Hall” competition at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ on November 10th, 2006.
-Performed for the “Sisterhood Organization” of North Carolina on November 17th, 2006.
-Performed at a sold out fashion show at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ on March 8th, 2007.
-Did a collaboration performance in a play called “Reflections” with Face Da Phlave in Winslow, NJ January 22nd, 2008.
These are just a few of Round 1’s most highest accomplishment and to this day, we’re still performing and moving forward. We are currently working on an anti-drug play to perform at schools around the world, allowing the children of today to see a positive way out of the streets, gangs, guns, and drugs. The play is called “Choices” and focuses on how we as people have the right to make our own choices in life whether they be right or wrong. We are also currently working on a Dance Competition which is to be held on June 27th, 2008 at the Recreation Center in Willingboro, NJ. The competition will start at 4pm and end at 9pm. This competition gives any dance group around the area to compete for a Grand Prize of 1000$ and total bragging rights for the year of 2008.
What we offer:
If you are interested in our work, we offer the following:
-The performance of “Choices.”
-A lecture and demonstration of styles of hip-hop and dance. Such as “popping,” “housing,” “locking,” “top rock,” and basic “breaking.”
-Motivational Speeches on such things as how making the right choice and school are the key to a successful future.
-Birthday, graduation, book signings, grand openings, and even sponsorship Performances
-Video shoots
-Acting roles, etc.
Within our performance we not only include dance, but also acting and crowd participation. We allow the people within our performances to have a chance to come up on stage and learn the different styles of dance, giving them a little more knowledge behind the art of hip-hop.
