Once you've found what you need, lock your post. This will prevent unnecessary replies and allow other people's posts to get their share of the first page.

How do I lock my post?

At the bottom of each post there is an edit button:



If you click on the Edit button, you will be taken to this screen:



Yours will look slightly different. It won't have the "mods can edit at any time" bit and it won't have the option of sending a PM.

Type in your reason for locking ("I have found what I wanted" is a good one for this board!) and click on the Lock Comment button.

Fantastic post
It is really annoying when you take the time to reply but they no longer need your help! Or even when you see an item for sale but its already sold!! It only takes 2 minuites to lock it
Maybe with this sticky more people will know how to lock a thread

I would like people who put out wanted adverts to PM a YES or NO to the individuals costumes which have been added to their advert so that you don't keep replying to the same person everytime they repost their advert?

Sorry I'm being a bit thick here but what does it mean, lock your posts?

^ Locking means that there can be no more replies.

Therefore people won't continue to ask if the costume is still for sale.
