Headliner's will be my 9yr old group's first competition ever. I want it to be a positive experience for them and since they do dance only 3 hrs/week, I'm seriously considering entering them as recreational but I'm not exactly sure what that means.
Are they still ranked gold, silver, etc... What are the pros/cons of the recreational category. Thank You!

When we did Headliners a couple of years ago, recreational was just like competitive except that they were a little more lax on the scoring due to the students being recreational dancers. We got good, positive, feedback and really liked the competition.
