Quite often I am asked why is it that dance classes seem to be so secretive? I understand some of the reasoning behind teachers not wanting parents to watch during classes but sometimes I think that if they just chilled out a bit and let parents watch - life would be way simpler for them.
A lot of parents would loose interest after the first few weeks of watching and just go to ensure that little Suzy and Johnny were behaving and progressing. I understand that most dance schools have a parent watch week/night but I sill get asked why can't I watch suzy when ever I want. ...So...
How do you respond to "Every other child activity allows parents to watch, football, cricket, gymnastics, ballroom dance, tennis, swimming, ice skating, ice hockey, motorcross, rugby ..... the list goes on.... why don't dance teachers?" (cause I am running out of responses)
