GCSE Dance choreography, Help! I need a theme

For my GCSE Dance choreography, I need a theme. I am thinking about doing a duet but I can have up to 5 people or it can be a solo. Up to about 3 minutes long
I am really stuck for ideas because I want it to be original and different but not too complicated.
I can base it on a poem, book, painting, person etc or something like a natural disaster.

Any ideas? I will be grateful for any help!

I have a few ideas! Mayde you could do a dance on the theme of water, fire, love, lonelyness, lost, survival. Also there is a section called ballet choreography in dance.net (under ballet) there are lots of ideas there! I hope this helps and good luck!

I've been looking for inspiration and have come up with: Escaping from your own shadow (as a duet), or expressing a nightmare (one person as the nightmare, the other as a person)

Any other ideas?

Some dances I've seen recently
Trapped in the Mirror. random song was used.
Inside the Tornado by Amanda Marshall.
Magnets (will be used this year by 2 senior dancers)
Emilys Theme by John Ottman from the film Hide n Seek if you want something creepy
Jellyfish (girls used umbrellas as part of the effect)
2 Roses, song used was Stabat Mater
Martn Luther Kings speech "I had a dream..."

Good Luck ,
Interested to know what you end up doing
