About The Girl Blue Project The Girl Blue Project is a self-empowerment program for teen girls. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in its 6th year of operation. We have successfully served teen girls by providing yoga, self-awareness, health, money management and the performings arts of dance, acting, voice as well as creative writing FREE OF CHARGE.
We are now offering our SHE IS POWER master classes in DANCE, VOICE, ACTING and SELF-EMPOWERMENT for women ages 17-24.
The Girl Blue Project's SHE IS POWER master classes are for actors, dancers, singers, writers or anyone interested in the performing arts. You must be between 17 and 24 years old. Classes are held over 6 weeks (May 27th - July 12th), 3 nights a week, 2 classes per evening. Class times are 6:30pm to 9:30pm. ALL CLASSES ARE REQUIRED. There will be scheduled performances as well at the end of the series.
A total of 36 classes taught by Winifred R. Harris, Choreographer and Artistic Director of Between Lines Dance Company. Carl Hancock Rux- Head of Writing for Performance at Cal State Institute for the Arts, Guillermo Aviles Rodriguez-Artistic Director for Watts Village Theater Company, Timothy Williams-Director of Musicians Conservatory of Music, Karen Malina White-Actor-Lean On Me, Cosby Show, Proud Family and Marlow Wyatt-Writer, Director and Founder of The Girl Blue Project.
