I haven't had any problems. I got mine back in mid-March and one shipment I even got during the first week in March.

There is a post that said they are behind. I faxed them something and they responded right away. I couldn't get a straight answer from them if they are behind.

We were supposed to receive ours today and we called and were told they weren't ready. When we asked if that meant our kids would miss their pictures (which are Saturday) they said yes, and then we asked if that meant they wouldn't have the for the recital (which is next THursday) and they said there is a good chance we would not have them in time for the show. They said they would call us back in an hour, and never did. Not sure what is going on!

keep calling until you get the answer you want. Demand to speak to a supervisor. Its not right they are doing this.
I had a date of 5/1 that I needed mine. Nothing.
Called Monday & they asked when I needed them by.
Uhhh...5/1, geniuses.
I told them the absolutely latest I could get them was this Friday.
I got a shipment today with 11 costumes missing.
What part of ABSOLUTE LATEST did they not understand?
(I don't really need them for another week, but you have to lie to get them when you really need them.)

I had the same thing happen to me last year, they missed the shipdate and I ended up not getting them in time. I could never get through on the phones and it took me forever to get my refund, which I did eventually get. I ended up having to order last minute costumes instock from Costume Gallery. This year their book was the first one to hit the trash.

I finally got through to them on Thursday. They said it would be ready by 5/20. (The origional date was 5/4!) Wonder if I should call before 5/20 to make sure that they are on schedule so I can have a back up plan. It's horrible because it's all of our soloist costumes. The girls are anxiously awaiting! Thanks for all your comments! I'll keep calling!

I would definately call twice a week until 5/20. Keep on them. They ended up overnighting 1/2 of our order, but that doesn't do a lot of good. You can not give a costume to 1/2 of the four year olds and not the other ones, or what good is the feather headpiece if you do have the costume. THey said they would overnight the rest of them today, so we will see if we receive them MOnday or not. But they said they would call back with a tracking number and never did. We had to reschedule ten classes worth of pictures and it is Thursday. We will not be using them next year which is ashame, it is the only company we have used every year since we have been open.

We used them for one costume this year (the lack of suitable hip hop costumes is a WHOLE other topic!). We had one student enroll late, by late I mean we ordered her costume toward the beginning of Jan, and WF took forever to get the costume to us! Their promised ship date came and went, pictures came and went, several phone calls and messages weren't returned, but we FINALLY got the costume before our recital. I won't use them again unless I ABSOLUTELY have to!

i got all mine in for pictures! yippee!!!!
advice: check the shipping dates of all your costume companies and write them down in order. then order everything you need from each company at once. there are certain ones i will not order from unless i absolutely have to, and those i usually try to order in december. i will not let new students enroll past jan, 31st, unless i can still order their costumes. then i charge them extra for shipping.

i got a shipping notice for another box from WF, overnighted, due to be delivered on Monday. (so much for HAVE TO HAVE THEM by FRIDAY)
I'll let you know if it is actually the remainder or just another partial shipment.
it is a shame we have to blatently LIE to get costumes.
Don't give them any more time. Call & tell them you need them immediately

Got the overnight shipment from WF this morning.
5 of them are the wrong size.
I'm on the phone with them now.
edit: just got off the phone. They didn't have 6C so they sent 8C, but they made those last week, so why not just make what I NEED!
now I'm waiting for another phone call back from them.
This is why you have to LIE.

Oh my goodness. So glad I read this. I, too, have been trying to get a hold of them since early last week. The phone is always busy so I emailed them and I still have not heard anything. I am super nervous.

We live near Wolff. Have dealt w/ them for years. All of our students shop in their store for dancewear around here also.
Had a require date of 4/24. Called them twice leading up to that week and they said they would be ready- didn't see any reason why they wouldn't be ready. The Friday before they were to be shipped, called and spoke to someone else that said - "I don't know who you've been speaking to but there is no way your costumes will be ready." We had ordered hundreds of costumes and only about 1/2 were ready. I can't believe they lied to me. We got them about a week later- after many phone calls and about 5 visits to the store. I'm so lucky I live in town or I would have had a nervous breakdown. We ended up getting them in time for everything.

I actually got mine on time this year. The only serious problem I had this year was from Lebo's. I ordered 7 long tutu from them. They came after my picture date and the styles were different, including the color.

Keep trying to call and get through. I finally got through, but they said they would be ready to ship 3 weeks later than promised when I ordered them. I always tell the companies an earlier required date for this very reason!! I may just have to call daily!

11 years ago they filed for Chapter 11. My costumes were delivered the week after recital I did not sign for them. It took me all summer but I got my money back. I ordered sustitute costumes from Loshins, ordered by sizes in stock, most parents were understanding, some were upset since the costumes were not as nice. I will never order form them again.

They promised to overnight then on Friday and then we received them, but we were still missing about 1/2 of them. So then we called again and they said they promised to ship them Monday. Don't know if they have arrived yet, but hopefully they did! What a mess.

They've always been reliable for me, but I order from them first because my sister has had issues from ordering too late.
I just ordered a costume from them in Feb (late registered student). I was mad when they told me it wouldn't be in until June 10th (my picture day is the 2nd and recital the 15th). I've been sweating reading all of these posts.
They just emailed me and I should have this costume on Thursday. I never even called them, but I'm getting it a month earlier than promised.
So, with that being said...I'm a Wolff Fording fan and if it comes in Thursday, right size, etc... I'll definately keep ordering from them.

they did call me back Monday, but I was getting ready to start class & didn't have time to go into much with them. Something about it being ready Wednesday but that they couldn't overnight it, so it would be sent 3 day. Um, why not? Your mistakes, your screw-ups & I have to wait? Don't think so. The last 2 shipments were sent overnight. Not my fault you can't meet dates promised. I will be calling them back in the AM to make sure it's going out OVERNIGHT.

"your package is ready to ship, but I see you need these by Friday. If we send it ground, it won't get there til Monday or Tuesday."
me-
"Why can't it be shipped overnight?"
them-
"Well, we could but it will cost you more"
me (very calmly)-
"Why would it cost me more when you sent me the wrong size?"

"Oh, I didn't have that in my papers. I'll have to speak to my supervisor"

WF is Always Slow, but never had a real prob until this year! My ship date was April 14, we just got costumes last week. Four are missing trim. Like all you - called & called and finally got through. They asked if they could just send the trim. I asked if they would send me $ to pay a seamstress to sew it on. They said they could not send replacements. I would have to send the items back and wait for them to be repaired. Had similar prob w/ Weissman's. They overnighted new costumes and I had them the next day! Who knows when I will get the WF ones back. Love WFs ballet collection, but seriously re-thinking ordering from them next year.

We finally received all of our costumes from them today, after being told for a week they would overnight everything (we got bits and pieces day after day). Our show is this Friday, so our students will be coming in tonight to get them. At this point all we can hope is that nothing is wrong with them and that they fit. Not sure that we will be ordering from them next year. Really love their costumes, but they have caused us a lot of time and stress, and our parents are really nervous!

I ordered from them for the first time this year. I ordered early and also gave my recital date as a month before it is. I received everything perfectly and when I had a last minute solo that wanted a costume they were very helpful on the phone finding an in stock costume in the correct size. Received it within 5 days. I can see that they'd be swamped right now though like most places.
