What dance style does your guard use most? en>fr fr>en By dancer_meggs Comments: 492, member since Wed Jul 19, 2006On Sat May 10, 2008 08:48 AM
Just wondering who uses what the most. I understand that Lyrical could also go with ballet and jazz and that most guards use all different types of dance. If you marked other please tell me what type of dance you use. Thanks 4 Replies to What dance style does your guard use most? |

We use a lot of different styles. We practice learning like traditional basic ballet stuff such as tondues and releves, pleas, etc. But some of our movement is kind of jazzy. It really depends on our show. But most of the time we are more modern style dance. We had some lyrical in our show this year though for winterguard. We kind of use all of it. haha. |

I use mainly Jazz...... or just a general mixture of everything. Sometimes we’ll just do some random move, which may or may not be any particular type of dance. I also mainly do color guard and not winter guard which can make a difference because to me it almost depends on the music you’re dancing to, so it can depend on what the band plays. |

i picked other, because i am pretty sure that the type of 'dance' my instructor likes to use is just odd, he enjoys the straight legged runs when you bounce like a idiot, and the idea of dance and correct technique is never even brought up.
which is why i am no longer there. |
