About The Stepping Stone Players Local community theatre company, The Stepping Stone Players, is currently casting for their upcoming production "Once Upon a Mattress". Director: Susan Kussman, Choreographer: Myra Santini, Musical Director: Jon Howie.

Male dancers wanted, ages 16-35. Jazz/ballet technique preferred.
Actors:
All roles require great comic timing
MINSTREL (LEAD) 20s to early 30s: Narrates the story, playing a stringed instrument a plus, possibly a lute. Attractive, a realist with a twinkle. Sings (lyric tenor.)
WINNIFRED (LEAD), late teens to20s: A true princess who is a tomboy at heart, rough around the edges, sassy, just right for Prince Dauntless. This is the princess they have been waiting for. Sings (from lower alto to mid-soprano range; some belting possible.)
HARRY (LEAD), 30s: the consummate knight, brave and noble, in love with Lady Larken. Sings (tenor range.)
JESTER (LEAD), 20s 30s: Sidekick to the Wizard and the royal family. Sings (lyric tenor.)
STUDLY (SUPPORTING) A manly knight. Some singing may be required.

if cast, rehearsals are July 14-september 4. performances begin Sept 5 and run 3 weekends. Fri & Sat 7pm performances, Sunday 2pm matinee performances.
