Relaxing!!! I might go up to Wisconsin the week of July 4th (studio will be closed) and maybe for longer to visit family. Hopefully all my summer camps and classes will be full that I won't have time to take a vacation.

Camping and hiking on the weekends as much as we can...we spend a good portion of our summers on Mt. Rainier.
We also rented a beach house on the Oregon coast for a week in August...really looking forward to that.
I'm off to NYC in a few weeks for the ABT training, but I'm staying an extra week to have fun in the city. I found an apartment to sublet on CL it's half the price of a hotel and I get the whole apartment to myself...right next to central park!!

We are moving! The day after recital, in June, from Florida to Kansas. Anyone jealous?
Actually, we are thrilled to be moving "home" it's the whole U-haul half way across the United States in the heat of the Summer thing that does not sound exciting to me.
We should have a dance teacher "convention" on a beach somewhere!

To whom ever said they'll be in Door County, WI. I'll wave at you from across the bay. I'm just across from there in Michigan!
I'm headed down to Chicago, and Kalamazoo, MI to visit some old dance friends from school, and friends still at school. And to shop... I need new clothes since I just started back teaching. I haven't had a chance to since I started in January.
Considering a trip to NYC to visit a very old HS dance friend of mine. And to take class. And see some shows. I've never been to NYC, and I'm DYING to go.

We are finalizing up our plans for our month-long trip to Italy. First week, we come to Rome, where we rented an apartment (so much cheaper than hotels and you get a kitchen, separate bedrooms, etc.).
After that we fly down to Palermo, Sicily, where my husband has distant cousins. We stay with them for 9 days then fly up to Naples but will be staying in an apartment in Sorrento for 7 days.
After that we take the train up to Florence (Tuscany area) where we get to also visit Venice. Last day train to hotel for one night near the airport and home.
It's my daughter, granddaughter, my husband's first cousin, my husband and I. We are so excited and can't wait to leave. It will be interesting flying with a 13 month old baby, but she is very easy going and not really a handful, so we think with four adults, it will be fine. She travels, well. LOL
Hardest part is packing. Domestic flights have less luggage allowance than international flights, so we have to pack wisely. I found an "air crib" for the baby, since they don't supply cribs in the apartments we are renting. We tried it out already and it's great. It weighs six pounds and is safe and easy to blow up. I found it on a camping supply site.
I also found a stroller that is very lightweight and turns into a backpack. I just hope that diapers, when we run out (can't really take a month's worth with us) are not too expensive and that the Euro goes down before we leave. Last look it was at around 1.50 to $1 USD.
At least it's summer so we won't be wearing heavy clothes and each location has laundry facilities. The family has a maid who does the laundry so we won't have to worry about that in Sicily.
We have our passports and international driver's permits and I got the Europe map for my GPS. I searched long and hard to find someone selling at lower cost and found one.
Oh, am I am studying Italian and teaching the baby Italian, lol.
Since I no longer own my school and teach part-time for two other schools, the only classes I will teach in summer are subbing or some ballroom lessons for people getting married.
We are also very busy doing major landscaping (just hubby and me doing it) and I am redoing my kitchen, slightly. Hopefully that will be done before we leave. My daughter's BF is going to take care of the home and cats while we are gone.
Ciao!!!!

We're going to Disney World and St. Augustine, Florida. My students are performing at Disney, but I only have to spend the day of the performance with them. All of their parents are going, so they will be with their families. I am so looking forward to it. Disney is my favorite place to vacation!

My husband was awarded a trip to Panama from his job! It was an unexpected surprise and I will be missing the last week of classes at the studio. I'm a little nervous about that, but it's after the show so the rectial will be far behind me. It's a place we probably would've never thought we would go, but not only is it different, it's free! Whoo hoo! We also have a cruise to Bermuda planned for the last week of July with my family. In between I will be teaching summer classes. I'm really looking forward to getting away, it can't come fast enough!

When hubby and I are pinching pennies for vacation, we camp. If you are not a tent person, KOA Campgrounds usually have cabins. You still have to pack your own stuff, but it makes vacation very affordable. Just a thought if you are trying to find a way to afford a vacation.
Another way was we took those free vacations offered by time shares who want you to go on a tour. Word of warning, never by one at a tour, lol. There are so many resales out there, that you can get them cheap. In fact, my sis got a great one in Florida, on Ebay, for $99!!!!!

No major plans for the summer other than some long weekends at the summer house on the lake up a little north(michigan). Do some work at the house, go fishing, play some golf, get my new puppy...i have a lot of fun little things to do. Just got back from Vegas a few weeks ago, so that was my vacation for the year. Looking forward to NO DANCE from now until September-woohoo!! Now, if it would just start getting alittle warmer here it would be a lot better.
