Well I've been dancing my whole life (about 15 yrs i'm 21 now) anyway I've done ballet, jazz, and modern.
I started a new job teaching dance to 5-9yr olds.
I wanted to know what style should I go for? Does anyone know of good music for kids to dance to...like cute stuff but not cheesy? thanks

Do you have carte blanche to teach anything you want? Are you teaching at an established studio? How is the class being advertised? At my studio 6-8 year old students can elect to take specific classes such as ballet, tap, jazz, HH, etc. This makes is easier to know what to teach. Were you hired to teach something specific and does the studio have a specific curriculum? Are you teaching a combo class? If it's a combo class then 20 mins. ballet, 20 mins tap and 20 mins introduction to jazz works well for us.
