I currantly owe my own school in CT, ending my 32nd season in just a few weeks. I am 48 years old, and in tip top condition. 5'2 103 pounds. I have always thought about retireing at a young age in FL. The winters are cold and fuel prices are draining every one.
I have had 32 years experience teaching pre school, and dealing with parents!!! I am a problem solver making everyone leave with a smile. My tap background is extensive, my competitive tap students won all High Gold ,High score...best energy, remarkable taps.... I live less than 1 hour from Broadway,NYC, so this is where I recieved my training. I also operate 3 park and rec programs in CT and teach at several daycare facilities in the morning hours. I am a strong Tap teacher of advanced tap dance. I can choreograph to anything from the new music to the classical Poet and Peasant Overture, with tap dancing. I trained in New York with Henry Le Tang and many others, I have been the Director of a city Dance workshop for 30 years here in Florida. I WANT TO RETIRE< but I can't stand not dancing in some capacity because I feel lost without it. I do not want to work full time, but if you have some classes that you need an instructor for, let me know. I have taught ballet, tap, modern, jazz, and lyrical for most of my life both in Florida and in New Jersey. I am fifty years old and am now teaching one lyrical and one Street Funk class at this time but I do miss tap as it is my favorite dance form. Laurie Champion.
