Im looking at getting myself a new wig. I've had a colour change, so need a blonde wig. I found these two wigs on the net - the KATIE K and the ELLA wigs. But I don't know which one to get.

ok I LOVE the K.K wig! I tried the ella but it's small!!! I would suggest the Katie

Do you know what color the wig in the picture is? We are looking for a blond, but the last one ordered looked gray! The colors listed under the nicole all seem a bit brown.

I'd go with the Katie K. It looks really nice, it's in style now, and I've never heard of anyone who hated it.

though it is brown, not blonde. i haven't worn it at a feis or anything, but so far i love it. i like the adjustable cap. that might be in the Ella too, though. I believe lorna_doone just posted a picture of her in the Ella (www.dance.net . . .). Personally I think the Katie one looks slightly more natural, but the Ella's nice too. It's a matter of tight ringlets vs. looser, almost split curls. They're both nice and shiny though

I love love LOVE the look of the Katie K. wig.

I currently have an Ella, and I'm not too happy with it. It is really hard to put on because the front combs are very small. It looks nice when secured, but that's hard to do!

i have to say I LOVE the Katie K( I'm on the right)it looks soo natural and i always get compliments asking where i bought and things like that, but it does require a lot of taking care of so that it doesnt become ratty,but just keep it in shape with the wig spray and it should look like new every time you wear it!

worth taking a look at I love the chloe wig large spiral curls and very full, plus it looks dare I say natural... well the dancer in the pic could use a wig dough nut lifter thingy but maybe thats just her preferred style... who knows

I have the Katie K, and I love it.

Pros
It's full, but not hot. You don't end up sweating on your head with it on!
The curls are gorgeous- they sit amazingly!

Cons
Hard time thinking of any, but I'd say that it's maybe a bit hard to clip in very securely w/o kirpies.


I'd go for the Katie K- a warning though, buy it from celticcurls not 4irishdancers, 4irishdancers has bad customer service, quite the opposite to CC!

reelmom, I was told that the wigs in the photos are both sheer blonde, but under the yellow lighting look like a candy blonde. I personally like the candy blonde colour, but as of yet, am still unsure which colour to get.

hmmm.....the darcy wig is another option. I love the length of it. But I really need to see it in blonde.

Can you please post your some photos, of yourself or others, in blonde wigs. And also, if you could tell me your colour number too, that would be great.

I'm partial to the Katie K (even though I have absolutley no experience with it; I wear the Sarah from Melanie Gammage) because I love the look of the loose, split curl wigs.

BUT, what I'm really interested to see is your new blonde hair, TwinPeakes!!! Everytime I see a picture of you, your hair is dark and I would love to see what you look like blonde! Are you enjoying that color?

I say that it really depends on your age and size. If you are older I would say the Katie K. and for younger people the Ella because the Katie K. would be too "over the top" if you know what I mean.

At this point in time, I think im going to go with the Katie K, as it's longer. I do like the natural curl on this wig, but that wasn't the reason for me not to get the Ella, as i LOVE the fat curls on this wig. I think it's the sheer blonde im after.

But I would still like to see some pics of these BLONDE wigs on ddners.

i too am looking to buy a new wig and am really interested in the katie k wig. another wig too thats similer to the katie k is the maeve wig from emerald key. theyre beautiful and very natural looking. heres a link to a golden blonde tone, but they have soo many blonde tones. look under pages 3 and 4 for the senior wigs and 1 and 2 for the smaller "junior" wigs for younger ages.

also, small question to anyone reading this from the western region area, are there any vendors who sell the K.K wig that would have it at a feis? i want to see the katie k wig in person to know if i'd really fall in love with it lol

Just a note that my dd's katie k got ratty really fast-usually we keep wigs 2-3 years and they get a lot of wear bc we did a lot of shows-this wig probably won't last a year at the rate its going.

I've had both.

The Ella, it frizzed easier, and it seemed heavier. I also didn't have the 'look' that I wanted. I always liked the looser curls. If your'e looking for ringlets though, it's a great wig.

The Katie K, I love. It is fuller, but it doesn't feel like it. It moves great and I love the way it looks. It fits perfect with barrel headbands and crowns.

Well i've decided! Im gonna go with the Katie K. I just had a look at the order form, but it doesn't state what form of currency the payment is to be made in. Do I pay in Australia dollars, US dollars, or pounds????

I just made an order for the Katie K from "4 Irish Dancers". But im not really sure how it all works???

I paid through visa, but no money has been taken out of my account yet? It says that my order has gone in line, but how do i know when it goes through??? im confused

who HAS ordered from these guys, and understands how it all works???? please help

We ordered my first Ella about 2 months before Oireachtas, and we hadn't recieved any confirmation of the order, and I had no wig to go to Oireachtas, and my mom emailed 4irishdancers and they never replied. Then when we got to VA, we bought an Ella from the Celticc Curls booth, and she was so nice. Then about a week after we got home from Oireachtas we get a box in the mail from 4irish dancers, that had an Ella wig in it, and it was the wrong color. So you probly won't get any kind of confirmation, I.would just wait to get the wig
