What is the funniest thing any of your students have ever said to you?

One of my little girls told me once that her fairygod parents turned her into a loser. What do you even say to that? I was just like, umm your not a loser. But she was impossible to convince her.

I don't know if this is funny or just cute but yesterday at our recital one of my preschoolers ran to me after her class finished their dance and said "I think they really really like our dance!" She was so excited that everyone clapped for them!

I think this would fall as more of a strange thing this little girl does but I like to think its funny in a british humor way. I have little one (age 4) that every weekwithout fail will come up to me and say "Miss Marie I slept in my own bed last night and i have a dog named ingus!" Even after our last show as she was leaving the stage she said this too me. Too cute, Too funny, too much.

This is one of my favorites: I was pregnant in the Fall and one of my little girls came face-to-face with my belly. Her eyes got really big and she pointed and asked, "what's in there?" I told her there was a baby in there and she immediately bent down and looked up at the underside of my belly to find the baby. It was hilarious!

Oh gosh, I have had some really funny ones! I had 3 year old tell me she had a baby in her tummy! Then let's not forget all the comments about boogers and odors!

"I can pull my buttcheeks apart and touch my butt"

"Lilly! That's very nice but we are talking about ballet right now"

"But I caaaaan"

I'm not sure if it was more cute, or funny, or what. But I'm never forgetting that one!
Hmm lets see if I've got some more. I used to write them down because little kids are just too dang cute but I haven't in awhile.

I was playing a ballet video of a classical pas de deux for my 3-5 yr. old dance class.

One of my students blurted out: "Ewww, they're kissing!"

Then she said: "The guy's butt is sticking out! How come I see his butt??"

After that she said: "Is that his pee pee? I can see his PEE PEE!"

^ Ugh, yes that's a problem. It's a problem for me because there is this amazing picture of a male dancer but uh, well, in a manner of speaking you can see his pee-pee. And that would be all that my little ones would see.

I was showing a ballet book to my pre-ballet students and one of the girls looked at a picture of a student, pointed to it, then said, "Look, she is developing." And everytime there was a younger dancer with 'boobage' she would point and say that. lol

When referring to tap, one of my kindergarteners referred to "dancing with her balls", assumed that to mean the balls of her feet!

i was at competition with my 7yr old jazz students early one morning - they were the first group of the day - so i was telling them how the adjudicators were there very late last night and they would probably be tired so we would have to wake them up! So we start running through their dance - and the smiles aren't big enough so i do a big yawn/stretch and say wake me up! then the girl in the front row, leaves her spot, taps me on the knee and says "wake up ms K were trying to practice!"

I was standing at the door last week, and saw one of my two year olds who is potty training running toward the door so I opened it thinking she had to potty, she reached to where I was threw her hands up in the air and screamed "I PEED MY PANTS... TWICE" like I was going to be proud haha, I couldn't help but giggle.

The situation: 4 and 5 years old kids dancing in the studio.
What happened: a boy came to the teacher, pulled down his pants and said: "Look what I have!"

These all make me laugh!

Dancerr15, I found a video of some little girls talking about getting things from the snack machine and selling it for more. Its from Applause Studios(which i do not go to). You have to go to about the middle for, but the entire video is cute!

I ran into one of my students at the grocery store. I was in my normal street clothes. The little girl looked at me and said "Ms Connie, I've never seen you with clothes on before". I assured her mom I didn't teach naked!!

I had a little girl in my pre-tap and pre-ballet class. She stopped showing up for tap, so I thought she had quit. He dad came in to pick her up from Ballet and when I asked him about it, he didn't know anything. I asked her if she was still going to be in the tap dance and she shook her head. I asked her why she didn't want to do it anymore and she looked at me and said, "Because, Miss Sarah, the waffles are too hard!" I didn't understand so I laughed, so she started kicking her leg and was yelling "The waffles!!"

Apparently she thought SHUFFLES are too hard!!!

My little ones at recital were all drawing pictures in the changeroom while waiting, so of course I got lots to take home with me that day! But one of my 5yr olds was absolutly priceless:

"Miss, I drew you a picture, but I didn't know how to spell Kaydence...so I just put Sara."

lol I was trying so hard not to laugh! It was adorable!

One of my little ones about 40minutes into class say's I tired. She say's it every week i started saying it and now my husband say's it but you have to have the voice.
My last dance recital at the end each child comes out takes a bow I had the littlest go in the middle so she can see what to do we don't rehearse it. She came out and I was on the side and said bow behind her was some of the older kids saying Bow so she turned toward them and bowed with her butt towards the audiance.

This happened about 6 years ago, but it is still priceless. This kid is now in 5th grade, about to go to middle school, I can't wait for her to graduate so I can say it in her senior speech! it may be to humiliating, but here we go....

I go up to the dressing room before the Kindergarten Tap class. I find naked Julia on the ground, she rolls onto her back, grabs her butt cheeks, pulls them apart, legs in the air and YELLS....."this is where my poop comes out!!!"

Ah man.....priceless.

I always try to compliment the girls to make them feel like they're special and make them want to come to dance....anyway -
I told one little gal that her skirt was pretty.
She replied "Thanks, I wore it to my mom's wedding"
I said "well that's nice, it's very pretty"
she says "My mom got mad at my dad, so she married someone else!"
Now that's honesty for ya!

I had my 5-6 year old jazz class waiting by the doors to backstage to dance in the recital. I had no numbers between what was on-stage and thiers so I went back to talk to them and keep them calm before thier "big dance". When one of the little girls just blurts out "My Mommy's having a baby cause she forgot to take her foam, but shh its a secret I heard her tell Aunt Joann not to say anything to Daddy"....I almost died!
