Oh man... just today one of my 8 year old dancers was telling me how her family was having a race to a local town, the brother and cousins were in one car, the moms and grandmas were in another car. To distract the parentals, the boys mooned them. Then the grandma driving the other car flashed them back!! Eww. I don't think I can look at that grandma the same again.

Another little three year old, her mom was in the waiting room and another mom complimented her shirt. Then the little girl goes "yeah, but it's a bad bra" hahaha.... they say the craziest things.

I assistant teach 2-4 year olds. We got the big mat out for acro and all the kids were sitting on their carpets around the mat. The teacher and I were over by they stereo getting things ready and we hear this 3 year old girl singing.... and I quote... "Oh hot mmmm this is my jam. Keep me partying till the a.m. Y'all don't understand. Make me throw my hands in the ayer."

It was the funniest thing ever. This girl is tiny and has blond curly hair. The other girls were just staring at her.

Just thought I would share. haha.

My youngest dance team (4-7) asked to do a hip hop dance...I figured, why not (they have been doing pom routines). I begun teaching them some cute, simple choreography to B.I.N.G.O. by The Puppies and one of my six year olds blurted out "that's sounds like a black boy singing that song"....I was trying so hard not to laugh...the SO happened to be in the room and just said "maybe it is" and we just kept on going...lol

Next door to our studio is a day care, which many of our younger ones come from and we pick them up and they come to class. Well, I had one little two year old boy get up in the middle of dance class, get his jacket, procede to put it on and run out the room saying I'm going back to day care!

I've had a similar comment... although sometimes it feels like i live in the studio and i should have a bed haha

Every week I seem to have at least one student that draws me a picture and I always tell them its going right up on my fridge. One of my students actually asked where it was because she didn't see it in the dance room!

Before we do a step in my Pre-ballet class (4-6), we always ask questions such as "what position do we come back to," "Do we do grande battements with straight legs, or bent?" etc. But every class, one of the girls who gets called on answers with something completely random, like "I go to kindergarten!!" or "Our car broke down yesterday!!" or "I have a brother!!"
