Excellent job Katja144! ****STICKY vote!!
A sticky "HIGHLAND BOARD INDEX" of helpful links covering important topics that many seek answers on is a much needed resource on DDN. No surprise that some questions get asked time and time again.
Handy-Helpful info by members or found in a previous post could be nominated into such a sticky index to prevent it from disappearing over time.
Thanks for compiling these links Katja |

Sorry folks, there'll be more someday...I have more compiled but naturally it (and every other file I want) are on the hard drive on the computer that died...some day I'll get all the info off of that hard drive but not sure when. It'll already be out of date by the time I do get it posted, but at least it's something. |

I am going to give it a try and attempt to make myself a highland vest. My school wears black velvet with silver braid and buttons. I've never made anything like this so it will be a bit of a task *LOLS* but one of my classmates is a pro kilt maker and has made the vest before so she will offer up some tips for me
(apparently there is more than one type of velvet and one puckers ALOT more than the other....I may need to have her actually come WITH me to help me shop for fabrics *hehe*)
I really like the idea of making the pieces I need it makes them feel closer to my heart. |

Has anyone else ever had to fix a large hole in dance hose? I don't think that you can use regular darning methods (weaving). You need to pick up the stitches and knit them. I made a repair by re-knitting all of a smaller diamond in a split diamond design. A fun little challenge.

That looks great! As I just glanced at this I thought it was asking for advice and I was going to suggest needle felting but you clearly already have it taken care of! ![:] :]](http://dancenet.s3.amazonaws.com/images/blue/emoticons/joy.gif) |
