We will be buying a new wig at NANs. In your opinion, what full wig looks best and holds up well over time (little frizzing)? 19 Replies to What is your favorite wig and does it hold up well? |

i love the nicole i have one right now and i only got it in december and so far i've had to cut one curl out, for MINOR frizzing, that's my 2 cents, if you can't get the nicole, i hear a regular split curl is about the same as well |

I also have the Nicole wig and I absolutely LOVE it; I've had it for about a 1/2year now and it still looks brand new. It has memory curl fibers that are supposed to prevent frizzing; I haven't sprayed my wig yet either (which I probably should do), and it doesn't get aired out as much as I'd like....but still looks awesome. Everyone compliments me on it! |

I have the CC Aoife and while I love its looks, it frizzes pretty badly. |

I have the nicole. It's amazing. I've had it for two years and it still looks new. Of course I take good care of it though, my sisters is looking a little ratty. As long as you take good care of it it lasts a LONG time |

My favorite ringlet wig is the Sinead from Youngbloods, and my favorite split curl is the Morgan II, also from Youngbloods. They both hold up really well, and they just need about 5 minutes of love after each wear (spray, re-curl, trim the frizzies, etc) and they'll look like new. I wore my Sinead for an entire year, and the last time I wore it, people still asked me if it was a new wig. The Morgan II has a nice shape, and the curls are the perfect size. The way it falls looks SO pretty, and it complements everyone's face shape really well. |

Thank you everyone for the input. Could you tell me who makes the Nicole? |

one of the longest wigs i've come across so far has been the Emerald Key's Maeve wig. gorgeous split curls, large cap, and the lightest wig know on the market so far. the only downfall is that the curls dont have a coating so its going to frizz more than others but mine hasn't started yet after a few wears. |

If you are looking for a longer wig the Emerald Key Maeve wig is perfect. It is light weight and looks very natural. If you take good care of the wig it shouldn't frizz. Ashley Smith has a Maeve Senior. The Senior is longer and a bit larger. The Junior is smaller and just barely reaches your shoulders. |

I own two wigs. The one I wear most is the Katie K. It is very cute and is a little longer, but it is not holding up that well. The Katie K curls are looser. The other wig I own is called the Max wig. It has a tighter curl and is fuller. I have had the Max for almost 2 years now and it looks awesome. It is holding up very well and looks brand new.
The Katie K is from 4irishdancers www.4irishdancers.net . . .
I do not remember wear the Max is from, but I would really recommend it |

I am very fond of the Jessie wig by Feishead. I just bought one becasue it has great length, and a couple nice red colors...I have the Katie K and it has held up pretty well, except for where my flowered headband frizzes it up! haha The Jessie is much longer and more natural than the Katie K. It definetly suites a taller dancer well! Good luck on finding your perfect wig! |

The Senior Maeve from Emerald Key is the one I have and by FAR it's my favorite wig I've ever tried. I love the way that it's a bit longer and the curls are slightly looser...just looks more grown up and elegant.

I have the Morgan 2 by Youngblood, its fabulous! Really nice curls, and looks great on a taller dancer. The Erin, and the Kirkit Elegance were too short for me. |

Thanks everyone for your input. I ended up ordering the Katie K wig because that was my daugher's preference. We have been wearing the Morgan II for the past year, which is really beautiful, but have had some problems with frizzing. So, we will try this one out. I also really loved the Sarah by Melaine Murphy, but over twice as much money!
I'll post pictures with her new dress and wig when they arrive. Her dress was sent today! |
