You mean name tags you are going to make for the kids right?
You could make them on (not sure what sort of material) but little pompon shaped tags in different colours with their names on.
Or on those speaker phone shaped things (sorry i dont know any other way of explaining that, i've just seen the shape on cheer shirts)
Could could have different shapes/pictures or different colours for ages groups.
