LOL - Cat Cora is an Iron Chef. I think y'all mean Cat Deeley. :)

I really liked Kortney Lind at the beginning but I'm not feeling her anymore. She doesn't seem attached to the movement.... I think her partner deserved more credit for the Hiphop he did - I thought he did well. They seem to pick on him and I just don't see it.

Every week I like Mark more and more. His carriage and his hands were so beautiful last night....

I love Will and Joshua. Twitch was really hot last night too. Go Black Male Power! :)

i can NOT stand comfort...I want her out. I feel like she has no technique at all, and even though shes a hip hopper, the hip hop she did, did NOT impress me at all....Im wondering how she even got in there.

Leap, I actually liked Cat's little dress it was ala Audrey Hepburn sans two of the bows. Here's the funny part though, so I'm watching the show and my 8 year old son comes into the family room crinkles his nose and says "what's Cat wearing?" and then about ten minutes later my DH comes strolling in and looked at the tv and said, "what the beep is Cat wearing"? LOL!

Oh, and I remember that bush outfit it was so beeping out there, but she pulled it off in her zany way. I think my dh and son were commenting on that outfit too. What can I say they both are die hard Project Runway fans!

O.M.G!!!!
Can you tell I live and breathe the food network?? That cracks me up.

Cat is fab, no doubt. I can rally behind a crazy dress but I thought since it looked like costume I might not have been the only one like Huh?

I would seriously like to know how comfort has been in the bottom three almost every if not all episodes and did NOT get eliminated yet....That should say something...

Try to mention the Spoiler Alert Kiki!! Our poor networkers on the West Coast lose out on the suprise-*inserts smiley face here if I new how* haha

Continuing Spoiler:::

I agree Kiki!! If I see Comfort land akwardly in heels again I think I might scream.

At least Kourtney could have had the chance to pull out of the weird performing shell she only seems to have when NOT doing her solo.

I do think it was a toss up between Gev and the Guy they voted off, what's his face?

I think they took him because of his height and pairing him up with a new partner. Who knows.

I like Cat's egyptian look

So i ended up watching Hairspray after the results show tonight - and i jumped in the middle because who else was dancing in the movie but twitch!! He is in the dance party at the record shop and also in the whole "you can't stop the beat section"
- explains why he was so good in the broadway routine way back!

^^Agreed. Gosh, who didn't see it coming that more contemporary dancers would be on the chopping block?

Maybe Kourtney didn't know if she just squatted in second position and thrusted the entire 30 seconds she would have made it through-who needs pesky ballet technique when you can vibrate?? Comfort-nice girl. Not a bad dancer. But top 10? Do we really have a month to go before they send her home?

Cat was sporting the HIGHest heels I have ever seen tonight. No wonder she was horrified to see Gev coming at her with that front ariel.

I thought Comfort was going home on the first cut. Then I thought for sure she'd be gone by the second cut. Now I'm considering not watching SYTYCD anymore if they're keeping someone like her when she really deserves to go home. Are they just trying to meet a quota?

I've having difficulty staying interested in watching SYTYCD this season. In the past, I at least watched probably up until the top 6 or 4 (particularly if none of my "favs" were still left) but this season... I don't know. It just seems like certain dancers (for the girls, Kherington and Chelsie Hightower) are constantly praised for everything that they do. Whereas some other dancers are constantly criticized.

That disturbs me because it feels like it's becoming more and more like a popularity contest. Which it is (from the perspective of the viewers voting) but it shouldn't be that way from the judges. I think part of it is the manner in which the judges critique.

Maybe it's just my lack of a discerning eye. Dances which I think are good (like matt and Courtney Lind's hip hop) - while it wasn't my favorite dance, looked pretty good. Yet the judges didn't. The paso doble from Kherington and Twitch did nothing for me, and the judges LOVED it. So maybe it's just me...

But yeah - I'm just not interested...

Comfort should have been gone the first week- She has been in the bottom 3 every single week. I like Thayne through- the only reason he's been in the bottom 3 is his partner (IMO) .

My Favorites are Twitch & Kherrington and Jessica and her partner. Twitch has surpised me with his versitility and him and Kherrington have perferformed EVERY week. That's what we have to remember about this show that it's about talent and performance- capturing the audience and making them love you.

I really hope Comfort goes home next week because I can't stand watching her anymore.

Grrrr!!!!! Why is Comfort still on the show??? Nigel said last night that her solo wasn't good and she was capable of more- if these dancers are suppose to be "dancing for their lives" why do they keep someone on the show who CLEARLY DIDN'T dance for her life???? Kourtney gave 'er and she got the boot....I dunno I just don't get it!!

Like someone else said, it makes me so angry that they're always picking on Jessica. Everything she does is horrible according to them, but I think she's great. And they keep praising Kherington because for someone she's been the "judge's pet" since the day she auditioned. I can't figure out why they love her so much.

I agree Snot- I really like Jessica, its funny cause every time the judges tell her that she needs to KNOW that she is good it reminds me of one of my students....she is amazing but doesn't know it and it show. Although I don't really see this from Jessica- I think she's great!! As for Kherrington I really liked her when I first saw her, but now I am kinda meh about her....I think the judges like her face :)

The "cool" duet from West Side Story that Thayne and Comfort danced----
I thought Thayne did Very well, nice height, etc. but, Comfort--she definitely had trouble and looked awkward.

GRRRR -- I couldn't believe the complements Mary was giving her!!

I think the judges definitely know who they want to get rid of and who they want to keep. I'm very disappointed the judges don't judge all the contestants the same.

Of course they know who they want to keep and who they want to get rid of. They've got a touring show to think of and they need to have a hip-hop girl in it, so Comfort will stay until the top 10 and then she'll be gone....lets hope anyways.

I think one of the reasons Kourtni was let go was, because if Matt was gone she would have looked silly partnered with Thayne. I still think she should have stayed over Comfort, but I haven't been wowed by Kourtni since her audition. She was my favourite in the begining and now...

And they do keep picking on Jessica. I'm really feeling sorry for her. I also hate how they keep raving about Kehrington. She's fine, but nothing amazing in my opinion.

OK I have to reply to a comment I saw above...

"I always enjoy when the judges get snappy with an ignorant audience!"

I was at the taping this week and just wanted to fill you all in-- the producers come out before the show begins taping and make the audience practice BOOING at the judges. They actually encouraged us to boo every time anything negative was said about any contestant (to make "good" tv). So when Nigel gets snappy about the booing, hes actually the one who told us to boo in the first place. Quite annoying actually, I refused to boo when I agreed with the comments the judges were giving!

Also, I agree with the comments about Comfort - but I do have to say that she was quite upset with herself after the show Thursday and I caught myself feeling a little sorry for her...

to comment above--
What was Comfort upset about?

In regards to the "steaminess" on the show, I would agree that it's gotten a bit too much. Although I don't have children, I've often thought for many of the dances that I would never want to show my students some of the dances as examples because it's too raunchy. And some of the costumes too....especially the "half of a dress" where there's only a little strap on the hip holding the whole dress together!!!

I'm a teacher who is always trying to not "sell out" my students and choreography as being too sexy. There are many ways to make choreography interesting and entertaining without having to shake your booty.

Just my opinion.

Chelsea Hightower is my favorite female dancer, but I too like Jessica and I wish the judges would leave her alone. I thought she killed that hip hop number a few weeks ago. Will didn't stand out to me on that number at all. The first piece I really started paying attention to him was on the disco number. I truly think she has been suffering from nerves on those ballroom pieces. I thought she really proved herself though with performance of the Heart piece (How do I get you Alone?). Hopefully, that piece and Nigel's comments will give her the boost that she needs.

Leap, it's funny how the camera panned down to show Cat's shoes on Thursday show. I think she wore them so she could be taller than Matt. LOL

These are adult professional dancers, not studio kids. I think we forget that because we start to root for them as if they were our own. :)

I agree. Has anyone seen Dancing with the Stars? Even some of the pros are very young and are gyrating around with their booties shaking in less than half-a-dress.

I thought mandy Moore's Alone was the only one, only because of the set-up/prop, that was steamy for real.

All I overheard Comfort saying afterwards was that she was unhappy with her performance and thought she was going to go home, and some of the other dancers were consoling her and telling her she just had to keep going... I just think people forget how hard this competition is on all of them, and what we see on tv is sometimes just an act to make themselves look more confident than they really are.

Dance is a very unforgiving profession, whether it's on a TV show or the stage and a lot of street dancers are unprepared for the way you are analyzed and pulled apart, dissected if you like, by your teachers and choreographers.
If you've danced professionaly then you know how hard it is, if you don't know that it's hard, then your not going to be able to prepare your pupils for the theatrical world of hard knocks.
If it was up to me :D Comfort would have gone by now, and yes I think your right, fouettegirl, it is little more than a popularity contest, the more tecnique you show, the more you are lambasted by the panel.
Having said that the boys are soooo much stronger than the girls it really is a bit of a farce and the choreography isn't as strong as normal, so, in short, this season is a bit of a damp squib, Cats outfits are the interesting part!!!

That's so right. People with technique are criticized far too much. It reminds me of my University Dance Program. Anyone with studio training was criticized for not being open to new ideas, but anyone who had no training, but natural ability, was treated like gold!
