Mia was rude & it was uncalled for...she can be brilliant, but there is no excuse for her behavior. I would have expected that comment about Kherington after she dropped the last 16 counts...it might have made more sense because Twitch was carrying the end by himself. I like Kherington & am trying not to dislike her BECAUSE of the judges. It is not her fault that they are so enamored with her...Tyce was brilliant last night-as usual! LOVED the Baliwood number!
I did not care much for Jessica in the beginning & am totally pulling for her now...she continues to handle herself in a very classy manner week after week as the judges use her for a punching bag. It is ridiculous that Chelsea & Kourtni are gone & Comfort is still in the hunt...it soooo obvious as to why! Looking forward to tonight...will Nigel keep Comfort again???

to the above post^ Yes, I think Nigel will keep Comfort again, and I think that is why Mia told Jessica's partner that he has been carrying her and he needs a new partner!! I couldn't believe how rude Mia was to Jessica. I hope I'm wrong and Jessica gets to stay. She has a lot of class to handle herself so well while Mia was saying that stuff.!!

Hopefully Will and Jessica won't be in the bottom groups so the judges will be forced to get rid of Comfort. When she pulled up her pants in the intro I almost threw my wine at the TV but then realized I needed it to play the new Mia game.
I am all for critiquing technique and I am a Mia fan but YIKES. If anyone carried their partner last night it was poor, poor, cute little Thayne.

Mia did tell Comfort you can only "fake" for so long- talked about her sickled feet etc....hopefully she will go home tonight- I would far prefer to see a top 10 of contemporary dancers who can pull off hip hop vs. one hip hop dancer who can only do that.....

Crossing my fingers that Comfort goes home tonight and pulling for my namesake Jessica to stay!
Also, love love loved the Bollywood piece. It was awesome. I knew my favorite couple could pull it off!

I've come to a new conclusion:
The judges want to make sure Will gets into the top few(if not the winner) SO, they are pulling the "American Idol Stunt". When Simon would put down one of the contestants on Idol, they would get more votes (media said it was out of pity). Maybe the judges are trying this with Will and Jessica. There is obviously nothing to critique Will on, so they go after his partner.
I, for one, think Jessica is right up there with ALL of the other girls, if not above some of them. Yes, sometimes she can be a little "non-believable", but I've seen that in most of the other girls, as well. I'm excited to see who goes home tonight. If hip hop girl doesn't go home, something's wrong.

Correction!!! They emphasis it every week, it's the search for America's FAVORITE dancer. In this case, technique is sacrificed for entertainment. Sucks.

SPOILER ALERT
im so glad they kept jessica, and finally got rid of comfort, she was getting on my nerves, i cant believe they are so hard on jessica, its getting ridiculous.

OMG! I'm gonna throw a party! Maybe the judges have been reading the forum and realized they couldn't get away with keeping Comfort anymore. Hahaha. Sooooo glad to see her go! *Sigh of relief*

I really was nervous though. Nigel told everyone who wasn't going home before they even performed their solos! AND he just had to throw in that little comment about how they would have rather gotten rid of two girls. There was a million other ways he could have complimented the guys. This week was the week of backhanded compliments.

First of all- thank the lord that comfort is gone. They would have lost about a million tour tickets if they let her in the top ten.
Does anyone know what the "4 real" shirts on all the african american dancers were about?
Poor Thayne- he was soo good, but so were all the other guys. They should have kept all three!
Does anyone read the message boards on the officaial SYTYCD website? Some people are soo mean. I hope the dancers don't have access to see them until the show is over!! so sad. . .
p.s. Mia looked like she just rolled out of bed, and Cat's heels were like. . . 5 inches high- crazy.

Wow, the Ailey boys TORE IT UP!
Chills chills chills
Was it just me or did Will suddenly became the winner of the season as of tonight?
Thayne-a sad testament to bad partner juju. Anyone notice that they didn't hug eachother first? Or second? Or at all? Humph.
Jess was well-spoken considering she gets nothing but crap sandwiches no matter what from the judges. I would be so beyond over it by now if I were here. I felt her eyes were a little dead, a tad bit jaded. Sheesh, was Kherington really sooooo much better? Come on.
And can we finally discuss Kherington's name? I know she had nothing to do with her own name, being in the womb and all, but anyone watch (or forced to watch) "Dallas" back in the day? She looks like a Dallas gal, minus the big hair and shoulderpads. Maybe just me? lol

Ahh yes, so good to see the Ailey Dancers. I got chills before they even came onstage because I could tell that Cat was going to say they were up next!
As with the rest of you I am thrilled to see Comfort gone as well as sad to see Thayne leave. Can't wait for next week!

I actually thought they were going to keep Comfort when Nigel said that she really delivered on her solo. (which, I did not agree with - I wasn't impressed with it) Then, he told Jessica they were disappointed with her solo... or did I not hear that right? Anyway... glad to see Comfort is finally gone, but I think we all know who will be the next girl to go.
At least we know Thayne won't just be sent back home, empty-handed. Mia said she loved him when he performed with Comfort, and they said she'd be working with him in the future, so while he's not America's "favorite" at least his training and performing abilities didn't go un-noticed.

I am excited because I think that once it gets to the top ten, the vote off is strictly in the hands of the voting public! I don't think that the judges decide anymore, so maybe Jessica still has a chance...

Yes, it was time for Comfort to go, but I was still sad to see her leave. She was, by no means, a terrible dancer and I actually did enjoy her solo tonight. I did think it was better than Jessica's (especially considering that she has had several weeks to be working on something and Comfort has had to recreate something from week to week.) Anyways, it was the right decision, I just didn't feel that she deserved all of the harsh words.
It really was tough for the guys. I think they made the right decision, but Thayne really was fantastic. I do think that whether we do or don't hear from him in such a public light, that he has great potential for a successful dance career. (And I must admit, he has a beautiful smile!)
I do agree that Jessica really handled herself beautifully! She has always taken the critique with an open mind and spoke so positively last night. I think it's a wonderful skill to have as a dancer... we certainly need it!

My tv gets one channel with bunny ears and it isn't the one with sytycd on it, so I rely on youtube to watch the dances. I just watched the solos and immediately jumped on here to see who was sent home. Thanks everyone for posting so I don't have to wait until next week to know! I would've gone crazy! I liked the guy that went home, but am soooo happy the right girl was sent!

Whoo Hoo! Finally, she is gone. I have to admit she is talented in her craft, and she did put forth some effort fetting out of her "comfort" zone-but i'm glad she got the boot. I keep wondering why she looked so angry though.
Anyways, i was sad to see Thayne go , but i am glad he will work with Mia in the future.
I think Will should have joined the Alvin Ailey dancers right then!

I couldn't help but feel bad for Thayne having to dance that contempo piece with Comfort, when it would have been soooooo much better had Chelsea still been on the show and his partner...and then I felt bad knowing he was going home before seeing their solos. He's a wonderful dancer, but I think that he doesn't have "it"--not yet anyway...I think he will go on to do wonderful things, and I hope the piece(s) he does with/for Mia are somewhere in the public I where I can see them!

I am so excited that they are getting new partners next week! Should be very interesting.
To the thing about the fox message boards - I know that the producers told all of the dancers when they made top 20 to NOT read those boards because they are always harsh. But I know their family and friends do read them...
I think they just put up the tour dates, did anyone go to any of the tour shows last year? I'm excited about going this year. I know I am glad Comfort didn't make top 10, but both her and Thayne will be going on tour as the "extra" two dancers.

You know the SYTYCD website tells you who went home every week, and they also post interviews with the two who were kicked off. It's here - www.fox.com . . .

The tour always includes the top 10 and whomever else they choose to invite. Last year they had Shawna, Hok and Jesus...and one other extra person- cannot remember who.
Will should win. Doesn't mean it'll happen though.

***WEDNESDAY NIGHT SPOILER***
Anyone else read this...
community.tvguide.com . . .
Think You Can Dance Shuffle: Jessica Out, Comfort In
So You Think You Can Dancer Jessica is out, and Comfort is back in, Fox announced Monday morning at the TCA press tour. “I would like to say how sorry I am that Jessica cannot continue dancing in the competition at the advice of her doctor," executive producer/judge Nigel Lythgoe said in a statement. "Her full recovery is paramount and will only come with rest. We are fortunate that Comfort has agreed to rejoin the competition and know that under the circumstances she has Jessica's full support."
Lythgoe said that U.S. laws prevented him from elaborating on the exact nature and magnitude of Jessica's injury, but said that Jessica would do so herself on Wednesday night's episode. (Lythgoe also let it slip that Courtney would be paired with Joshua this week.) — Matt Mitovich and Mickey O'Connor
