Pardon me...ahem.....That Blows!!!!!

That stinks!! I am dying to know what "injury" she has. Is it wrong for me think that it's a conspiracy!?

dancinfootball, I was completely shocked that they kept Jessica last week. I am really suspicious about this... but what do I know.

From one of my friends on the show I actually know that she really was injured - cracked ribs. I've never had cracked ribs so I don't know how bad that would be? I'm sure the producers welcome the "drama" and look at it as a way to get more viewers. I feel bad for Jessica :(

It sure does seem suspicious since it's the girl the judges have been going after almost every week.
What a shame.

And what about Comfort's injured shoulder? Sure, she can still dance, but remember when Nigel didn't want that one guy to Audition because of his hurt hamstring (or was it ankle)? Nigel discouraged him from auditioning, even though he still did it. Where do you draw the line?

i think that if the judges wanted Jessica gone they had lots of opportunities to do it. And especially last week - if they wanted to keep comfort for their top ten to make it more well rounded (even though i personally do not like her) they easily could have.

A cracked rib can cause very painful breathing and movement, and it needs time off to heal, where as a dislocated shoulder can be popped back in and iced.

I'm just sad I have to watch Comfort dance again this week- her hair is always in her face, and it makes me want to go chop it all off! I hate sloppy looking dancers!!

P.S.
Did you notice that in the commercials for the show they only show Chelsea and Mark, Kherington and Twitch, and Katee and Josh. The whole dang thing is a conspiracy I think. Oh well, I'll still watch!!

Anyone on here from northeast oh?
The tour isn't coming to cleveland this year!!! only columbus. . . boooo :(

And she's back... They cannot get rid of Comfort.Gee

UGH! This show bored me to sleep tonight!! Funny that dance is my life and I can't make it through this two hour show all about dance!

I miss Danny Tidwell. Last year I was sooo passionate about the show, and I think it's because he felt so strongly that he was misunderstood!

Tonight I liked: The Rumba, The "Imagine" duet, Joshua's solo tricks, the 2 hip hop #s.

I haven't cared much for Comfort, but as soon as she said that she and Twitch were competing with one another, I knew it would be good.

I don't think anyone stuck out more or less last night. Some good dancers had some poor dances. It really will be a popularity contest this time around. They all have slowly grown on me and there's no one that I'm dieing to see leave.

I do think that the country two step got a bad start last night. It really is an impressive dance (LOTS of fast turns.) I've always known it to travel the floor more, but I'm not an expert.

And when did a Pas de deux become its own dance form?!? Aren't they ALL dancing Pas de deux's? Please correct me if I'm wrong, but they used a fancy French term to say "We're going to dance another contemporary duet." *sigh*

Can we just talk about Twitch's hip hop costume last night? Hah! That was hilarious. That poor guy was in a sparkly purple shirt with aluminum foil and mirrors wrapped around it. It looked like something little kids playing "outer space" would create on their own. It's right up there with that awful bright yellow t-shirt and red beret they made Danny and Sarah wear for their hip routine to "Push It" last year. I had a bunch of people at my house last night watching the show and we just couldn't get over Twitch's shirt. It was SO funny looking on him. I'm laughing now just thinking about it!

As for the pas de duex...I LOVED it. But, I've always been a little obsessed with Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson. It was concert dance and a joy to watch. We (at my house) were so incredibly thankful that Will and Katie pulled it out of the hat. Maybe it was planned that way by the producers, who knows. Either way, that could have been a train wreck on other couples! Will and Katie were stunning.

Okay, I grew up in Western Kansas and I have seen some two-steppin in my day but nothing quite like that. Well, most of the two-stepping I saw was performed by elderly people at the VFW but still!

Love Tyce!!! In the words of Mia, the waltz was a "hot mess." My modern teacher would have loved Mark (as I do). Poor Twitch, the hip hop outfit looked like it was pulled out of a high school musical theater department once I got past that I enjoyed the HH piece. Kherrington's solo lacked energy, she might be in trouble. Will and Katee....wow. I have always been a Desmond Richardson fan. I was so excited to see his choreography. DancingPsych, I totally agree with you about a pas de deux.

Either the judges write their critiques before the show or the editor is the fastest editor I have ever seen! Do you think Nigel sits at home and comes up with cliches and analogies. "How can I compare dance to a driving test?"

One last thing, my husband said Jean-Marc reminds him of Joe Pesci with an accent and has asked me to dye my pink!

Stardancerstudio, I swear I hadn't read your post before I wrote mine. :)

I wish the editors could have helped Lil' C. I think he said the dancers were "eloquent" and "oblivious". I hate being the grammar police but that made me tilt my head and ask "what did he just say?"

If Nigel sits around thinking of analogies, I think Mary Murphey sits around dreaming up new things for her imaginary train. I'm surprised she hasn't declared a "conductor" for the train, or said someone is the engine. I sigh every time she brings up the train. It was fun the first few times last season but I can't take it anymore! It's not real! It's never going to be real! We started with just a train but now there's a caboose and some people have to hold on for dear life, some get kicked off. It's crazy. I'd rather see her choreographing than judging every week. Between the screaming and the train I want to strangle her.

I think I'm in love with Joshua! My husband should be worried....lol. I love his personality - big teddy bear, plus he's such a wonderful, unexpected dancer.

The two step was not good in the energy department. I live in Texas and have done the two step for many years (not to that degree) and that was a REALLY hard routine. Kherington was the one messing up all the time - she literally just kept sticking out her hand, even though she wasn't doing an exchange. The two step has a power and energy to it that they just didn't have!

Stardancerstudio - thank you for bringing up Twitches outfit! What WAS THAT? The judges finished and I yelled out "What about Twitch getting punked by the wardrobe dept?"

I love Hip-hop, but I didn't love that routine and I didn't think that Twitch or Comfort did that great of a job at it either. It wasn't bad, but I wasn't as excited as the judges.

I think we will see Comfort and Gev go first (I do love Gev though). Then Kherington and Twitch. Then Chelsie and Mark (love Mark too). I'm pretty sure we will get down to Will, Katee and Joshua. The fourth will probably be Courtney.

I really liked Lil' C as a judge! He is well spoken and has good comments with out the dramatics. My new thing is going to be calling people "beasts". Like, "Tiffany - you're a beast!" Cracks me up.

I absolutely love Katee.

I think a lot of the dancers have fallen foul of the wardrobe department this season, there have been some really odd costumes, ones that really aren't meant for dancing in, or that no one has thought about the practicalities of dancing in.
DaDancingPsych, I am also confused as to when Pas de Deux became a dance form in it's own right, seperate from all of the other 'pas de deaux' that were performed last night, we must have missed something :) ah well...

I'm going to make this short-I love Katee, I love Joshua, I hate Mary Murphy's train and her "woo's" that she is always shouting. I think the show it set up, they know who will win from the get go, but I still hope that its someone who actually deserves it, rather than someone they think will be the best publicity. Those dancers all deserve an extreme amount of recognition, and hopefully they get it.

I thought Katee and Will were fantastic last night! They both are so talented. I think the judges give Kherington too much credit. I mean, yes she is definitely talented, but I totally feel like she is favored. I thought Katee did so much better than her in her solo. It seemed like Kherington wasn't putting her all into it.
As far as Mary goes... she really does need to start choreographing and leave the judging panel for a while. She is just SOOOOO loud! ugh! Even my young Neices were like "can we fastforward the judges?" and they NEVER do that.
And I cannot believe after all those weeks of waiting for Comfort to be sent home, we finally get our wish... and she comes back!!! In the past hasn't someone left before and they weren't replaced? Or am I making that up? I feel like it happened before and that week instead of sending home 2 people that week they sent home just 1? I could be lying... or maybe just wishful thinking because I cannot bear to watch another solo from Comfort.

The only time I recall someone having to leave was last season when Jessi was hospitalized and could not perform for that show. In that case, they knew last minute and there was no time to teach someone else the choreography. I think they made the fair decision by letting Pasha perform with Melanie LaPatin. Jessi was not out of the competition at that point, she was just able to perform that night. They let her go the following night. (Too bad, she was my favorite.)

In this case, they apparently knew in advance enough that Jessica was not only not performing, but out of the competition. Obviously Comfort was at the rehearsals and they seemed to have equal rehearsal time. I do think that this was a fair decision by bringing the last girl kicked off back. All the guys needed partners. If America didn't like her, she will be gone tonight.

what exactly is that link?

it was like a low-budget, awful, off-beat TV show.

She will go home soon. I'm sick of seeing her leg in the air and a billion pirouettes. She doesn't have anything behind it. **competition dancer**

I honestly don't know. I just bumped into it and thought it was interesting.
