I have begun taking CDTA exams at grade 2 level, but I have a friend who does RAD. What is the difference in grading levels, examination marks, and overall exam structure. Would love to know, I have a lot of dancer friends who have no idea, and I don't either! :S 1 Replies to CDTA vs. RAD exams |

I am a CDTA teacher but not an RAD one although I have taken classes from an RAD instructor. From what I can tell, RAD is more structured. You do the same barre every time. With CDTA, its a combination of many different ballet types and there is more room for interpretation and creativity. Also, from what I have seen, the examinations for RAD are more stringent. Hope this helps a little and pls remember this is just my interpretation, not necessary factual. |
