I just thought some of you might appreciate this.

It's my little sister, at her very first tap exam (as the title suggests, lol). She's the one in the more reddish leotard and skirt. I like to think she's the only one doing it in time with the music, haha.

She's 4, and has been dancing for a few months. I didn't start dancing until I was 6, and didn't start tap until I was 17, so I'm pretty proud of her. Do any of you remember being this little, and dancing?

awww :)

I started dancing when I was 18 months, a kind of tap and ballet and my tap consisted of skipping on the spot (you'll recognise it if you've ever seen the baby class tapping on stage) and walking in a circle heel-toe-heel-toe

I did my first tap exam aged 4 I think... ISTD Primary or something. At least that was my first ballet exam, done the same year.

Our outfits in my very first tap class were a bright red leotard (Size 0 babies! It's tiny!) and then when we moved up it was longer sleeves which made me feel like a big girl. I also learned how to shuffle that year and I was SO PROUD.

18 months? Wow, you must have had a patient teacher, haha. I don't teach anyone younger then 3, and even then, certainly not tap. My tappers are 5 - 7, and that's noisy enough!

Here's another photo just of my sister.

She got her marks back. 94!! I'm not quite sure what syllabus she does, but I know it isn't IDTA.

Awww...she's so cute. And lucky to be starting so young-I wasn't allowed to start until I was twelve.

Aww what a cutie!
I'm suprised you were allowed to take pictures in an exam though...

I started at 2, but don't remember much of the class, except that we got to bring our teddies in for the Teddy Bear's Picnic! :)

awww what a cutie! Yes, I do remember being that small! I began tap when I was 2, but then switched to a different dance school at the age of 6, and that was when my tap career properly began with exams etc :) I'm now 17 and training for my student teachers exams!
