I am a college graduate with a BFA in dance. I give private lessons to students of all ages inside the comfort of their own homes. I can help students with ballet/pointe technique, work with beginning pointe students, choreograph a routine for auditions, work on flexibility, work on new and exciting tricks involving a combination of both dance and gymnastics moves, correct routines the students are having trouble with, work on performance quality, work on any kind of dance technique in general and so much more. Anything any student of dance needs I can help out with.

I am a professional dancer with a ballet company in the city. I have been dancing for 20 years, which is basically all my life. I love to dance and I love teaching others to dance as well. I have taught dance previously in several dance studios including The Dance Zone, The Third Street Music School Settlement, and Dancin Queens. I also teach gymnastics at North Shore Gymnastics.

Torrie Marie's School of Dance(TMSD) was established in 2005 in Pound Ridge, N.Y. TMSD caters to people of all abilities,from beginners to dancers with advanced technique. Our classically based school operates from early September until our recital in June. This allows all of our dancers to obtain the most of their dance education with classes in: Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, and Modern. We also offer adult day and evening classes, along with private lessons (upon request). The primary purpose of TMSD is to help the individual student develop talent, inspiration, creativity and dedication and turn grace and style into significant potential for the betterment and development of the dance culture in its multiple dimensions.


Torrie Marie's School of Dance is seeking a full time dance instructor for Ballet,Tap,Jazz, Hip Hop and Modern dance for the 2009-2010 dance season. The studio is located in Westchester County N.Y.


The dance instructor must have an energetic and fun attitude and can work well with both children and adult students from beginners to dancers placed in advanced levels between the ages of three to adult. Dance instructors must be versatile and have a well rounded knowledge in proper terminology and technique. Instructors will be responsible for progressive level performance based dance education material and choreography.

The position in our thirty-seven week program requires that our instructors are responsible for recital and mid semester performance material. The instructor MUST provide transportation to and from the studio. A Resume with references is required.
