Ummm...well..

In Le Barre, the weekly lunch/breakfast thing is still going on. I've currently got a thread for suggestions for the next event. I've been a bit slack lately in Le Barre, and haven't thrown an event for a few months. Same in Arabesque, I haven't thrown an event since Easter. But I HAVE set up games and polls and random stuff. But I've been really busy organizing the Olympics, which I think is going really well and lots are participating!

I'm head of the drama deptartment. I've tried to make some posts to get some participation, but no one comes on. It's really dead in there and the majority of the posts are from years ago. If it ever gets more involved I'll keep on creating new things to do on there. And as of right now, I'll just keep on waiting and trying for people to come.

In DDN Ballet Theatre, I've been organizing a summer Ballet. Now that summer is nearly over, I'm pushing to get it done. I've got 3 dancers so far, costumes and music selected. If anyone would like to join you should sign up ASAP. I'll be posting rehearsal info soon.

Well ladies, keep up the good work. There seem to be a lot of interest in VIS...we just need to get the active!

Anyway, where are my dorm sorters? They seem to all have disappeared on me and I'm doing it myself. I'm still without my laptop so I'm getting on as much as possible---but it's not much since I have to use my parents desktop.

Dorm sorters? As in people who place others in dorms? If you need one I can be of help if you want.

As far as Lyrical Dept, we have an active sticky for members to confirm their presence, and I ask that everyone sign up there BEFORE signing up to teach or take class. I also have an active thread for student/teacher signups, as well as actual class signups. I would love to start classes ASAP, but I do need more teachers. I can't write up all the different class levels myself. There are both lyrical and contemporary classes available. After about a month of classes, I'd like to start up auditions for a company performance, and utilize one of the rehearsal rooms, if possible. I really, really need more people to participate though! So if anyone's interested in teaching/dancing, please get ahold of me ASAP!!! Thanks!

I'm becoming very frustrated with VIS because I signed up to be in arabesque dorm a month ago and I still have no response.
I would gladly participate if I had a dorm!

^You know you can still participate in the classes and such without being placed right away, right? The only thing you can't do is play the dorm olympics, which are almost over with anyway.

^^ So if you wanted, you could be head of a department even if you haven't been placed? I signed up about a month ago too. I'd sign up to be head of the music or Irish/highland department but I don't know what they do.

That thread, by the way, is dead (right term?) I tried to respond but no such luck. I guess I'll say it here. I would be in charge Irish/Highland if needed/possible. I would gladly talk to Irish dancers

I'm the head of the Jazz Department, and the current sign-up list and class assignments are posted. I just need my teachers to check that thread and PM me so that classes can get started.

I am also a member of Fouette Dorm, and I think it is safe to say that we are dead.

I've posted new sign up threads, and some info on what I plan on doing.

I think we've got a couple people interested and active int he academic department.

VIS may slowly and surely becoming active again!
