Hi, my name is Jill and I am returning to the dance world after years of being away. I recently found the dream job teaching begginners as well as adult group fitness classes. I am spending lots of time researching, reading and putting myself in training for this fall.

You had me scared for a moment!! I was ready to tell you that you shouldn't be teaching if you'd put a 3 year old on pointe. LOL!!!

Dancertonite- totally appreciate your offer. I will be shouting out to you as I continue my "home-schooling." I have danced all my life, ballet, ballet and more ballet until I figured out that at 5 feet tall, I wasn't going to make it. So I branched into other forms and took time off to be a cheerleader and active in theatre. I went to school for theatre arts, and danced and sang and acted thru college. As an adult, I went from teaching a copy-righted dance fitness program 6x a week to doing absolutely nothing for a year. It's been harsh. Here's my little health round-up.
March 2007- emergency appendix removal on St. Paddy's day. No green morphine for me.
April 2007- Teaching again, tear my left hip ligament.
June 2007- Surgery on hip
August, September, November and December 2007- keep tearing and re-injuring left groin and adductor.
January 2008- Surgery on groin and adductor
Febuary 2008- Right hand gets slammed in washing machine.
March 2008- Surgery on right hand...thumb joints all messy
April 2008- Start loosing my mind. Almost become crazy cat lady who knits waaay too many appliance covers and swears at neighboorhood children. (Just kidding. Kind of)

Soo, it's been one heck of a struggle for me and my family. This is the dream job for me! I am working hard to shed the 20 sitting on my bum pounds (Note to self: cookies at 10:30pm are not the brightest idea.) I seem to have gained and want to get back in shape! Here's my goal- lose the weight so I can be belly dancer for Halloween. (
