Hi, I found these cute as warm up booties on Discount Dance Supply! They are from Bloch, and kind of expensive.... ($40.00!)
So... I was wondering... Are these booties just some invention that Bloch have made up, or does the idea come from ski booties or something? 'Cause I expect that they will be cheaper if they are from a ski shop or something to that extent.
Thanks!!!!!

I have a pair similar to these by Sierra Designs.
I bought them when they were sold on Discount Dance a few years ago, so they were about $30 I would guess. On the Sierra Designs website them are $50. So it's actually cheaper to buy them on Discount Dance.
These are cute too. Much more so than mine...

They're actually quite light. I have a pair and I highly recommend them. They're super warm, but not much heavier than if you were to wrap a few plastic grocery bags around your feet. They have a small amount of cushion to them too. It's like walking around on a pillow.

Are those the ones from Irina Dvorovenko and Maxim's (I can't spell his last name, sorry!) new line for Bloch? If so, they are so worth the $40. I have a pair, and they are the mos comfortable, warm thing I've ever put on my foot. Seriously, for long rehearsals in a cold theater, there is nothing better. Also, they seem to hold up well against constant wear. I highly reccomend them.

I have down booties too, I got them from an outdoor store, not a dance store. I think they were about 40 bucks and they are Sierra Designs.

Those are so cute, I want a pair!

So do you wear them as regular shoes when it's cold, or no? Sorry I'm having a hard time understanding...

They are not $40.00 they are $30.00 american.
I think its cheap, they are probably like $50.00+ at the Bloch store.
Ski stuff is expensive. Ski stores prices are usually hiked up. For example, a pair of UGG boots are about 120$ for the normal long style, at a ski store I went to they wanted $250.00! And this is after the whole UGG craze.

Mukluks are much different than these booties. Mukluks are usually knit sock type things. They are nice but different.

i know a few stores sell slippers like that

boots i mean

i have some faux fur ones with a zip up the front and suede type soles that i got from fat face .. werent too expensive if i remember rightly

they only come up like high ankle boots, just above the ankle

i know h&m used to do some slipper boots that were like a duvet/comforter type material and stuffing

maybe a cheaper option
