pue orange juice is very helpfull if you drink it just before you go on the dance floor xx

Great post you should always carb up the day before any competition so you have sufficient energy for the following day then on the morning of I would say have porridge as that too is slow releasing energy with bananas and plenty of fluids :) xx

What a fantastic post!! Water all the way for us. Loads of fresh fruit at comps, salad and a small milky way on standby if Lauren needs a boost. That ysually does the trick. A nice pasta meal the night before. Wertabix with banana for breakfast morning of comp. Slow release carbs are the best.

Great advise there, I will be packing the right things next time. I really thought the fruit juice I was giving my daughter was giving her an energy boost, silly I suppose when I know what sweets etc do to blood sugar.

Inlike taking pure jelly cubes to the comps I like to think they give lots o energy x

Well at comps everyone has energy drinks for them to apparently make them (hyper) better ! But my friends and i have water and thats the best in out opinion ! And for food i rarely eat at comps i dont know why though haha :Dxx

Good post on food and drink. My little girl thinks a ham sandwich makes her dance faster. and it does work if she eats it on the way. lol bless her she's only in U6's

Thanks for the advice. It comes just at the right time for me when my daughter has said that she doesn't want to eat before she dances, and then she is absolutely shattered afterwards. At least I can show her the best things to eat that will keep her speedy and won't slow her down or make her feel bloated! Xx
