I assume they mean a unitard.

Call them and ask!

It's probably just a regular leotard

Although I am not a dancer (I'm a gymnast) we call leotard (like a ballet leotard, or lycra leotards) bodsuits.

If you're really not sure though, I would call them and ask them.

ok! thanks for the help!
so just a regular leotard/ballet leotard?

the dress code is
-bodysuit,
-tights/dance pants,
-jazz shoes

so im assuming it wouldnt be a unitard since we are required to wear tights/pants.

Thanks!

A bodysuit is a leotard. Everyone at my dance studio calls them bodysuits and then when they go to college and they say the word bodysuit everyone looks at them like they are crazy. They immediately start calling them leotards. They are the same thing.

Yes, a bodysuit is just a leo. People refer to them in different ways. My teacher calls it a 'bodysuit' and to tell you the truth Id rather just everyone call it a leotard or leo. (:

Good Luck at your new studio!

They probably just mean a regular leotard. I'm sure if you go in with one on the first day and it's not right they aren't going to be mad if you tell them you weren't quite sure what they meant. Or like someone said above call and ask just to make sure.

I assume it is similer to a leotard but possibly with sleeves. Call and ask though to be sure!

Almost every dancer I know calls a leotard a bodysuit. Same thing, not long sleeve, not a unitard, just a leotard.
