Nastia did an amazing bar routine and tied for China for the GOLD. If 2 competitors have a tied score for gold, silver or bronze, they should both get it! How unfair last night that Nastia was ranked 2nd by the "computer" UNBELIEVaBLE! Im so upset for her, she really deserved the GOLD, both girls did....anyone with me on this???

I saw both girls' routines and they were fab! I don't know anything about Gymnastics so couldn't critique but I assume that the computer worked out all the scores from the judges and that the Chinese competitor had slightly higher marks which is why Nastia would have received the Silver? That's how it works in my dance competitions anyway, the computer works out each individual judges' marks to place the competitors.
Must have been frustrating but I guess that's just how it is. A silver medal at the Olympics is awesome too!

Yea I totally agree. Her routine was AMAZING. I think they totally both deserved to get gold.

Back when Nasia's father, Valeri Liukin competed, he tied for gold on one event, and both of the men got a gold medal. That's how it should be. I really hate the new scoring system, and the tie-breaking system. They shouldn't break ties.

Not to mention the fact that the gymnast Nastia tied was 14 years old, thus illegally competing....

I agree as well! I thought both did equally great. I thought a much better tie breaker would be to have each gymnast perform the same routine/previous routine and have new judges score them for something. I don't know about sharing a gold, but Nastia deserved the gold! And the IOC truly needs to investigate the Chinese gymnasts. For them and everyone else. If they are of age, then they don't deserve the suspicion. If they are not of age, they should'nt be there.

I think both did amazing routines, He Kexin has better form but Nastia is just elegant. However, I am "disturbed" by her numerous leg separations that the judges probably can't see but is very obvious from the camera angle. There are at least 5 or more of them.
