I am having trouble deciding!!

All-Star Team #1:

- has a level 4 Senior team (ages 14-18) and level 2 Junior/Senior team (ages 12-18), either of which I could be placed on
-Practices 2 hours a week, once weekly
-Last season the Senior team got 4 first places and 1 second
-the Junior/Senior team is brand new
-practices at a gymnastics center
-very far from my house

Team #2:

-Only has a Level 4 senior team (ages 14-18) and it is a brand new cheer company
-practices 5.5 hrs/week, twice weekly
-Last season their only team, Juniors, got a first and second place
-practices at a community center
-very far from my house
-doesn't really have 'try outs', instead they have 'evaluations', so you are less likely to be turned away (which also may mean sucky people will be on the team)
-I am more drawn to this one, not sure why

I want to be placed on a level 4 team hopefully. I am interested in challenging myself and doing well at competitions. Should I try out for both? And if I try out for both and make both, which squad should I join? Thanks!!!

BTW I'm 17.

Hey, this might be far too late, but I thought I'd reply just incase.
I'd definatly tryout for both incase you change your mind.
Personally I'd choose the second one if your serious about cheering.

5 1/2 hours is a lot of work, so there is a possiblity of 'sucky people' but unless they're determined to improve they'll drop out pretty quickly.

However the other squad sounds like it has better facilities, it's really if you think you could cope with the ammount of effort you'd put in and also if you want to risk being upset at being put in the jr squad.

Let us know whats happening :)
