Looking for some competition that come around Boston/Worcester MA or Providence RI...pref. in or around that area. We are a small studio that competes but were looking for competitions that are not incredibly harsh but not too cheesy and lame. We like Sophisticated Productions as its right up our alley with the difficulty, the fun aspect, their nationals, and team. We are not a very seriousy studio and are more dance for fun but at the same time we do have some talented girls so we need to find a medium and we are looking for some new competitions to try out so if you know of any that fit that critera and are like Sophisticated Productions please let me know! Thanks

I Love Dance is very comparible. Kim McKimmie is the owner. It is the oldest dance competition in existance. She runs a class act, but the rules must be strictly adhered to. She does not waiver if you enter incorrectly. Other than that we have always enjoyed her competitions which is at TRUE competition, not an adjudicated comp.

I agree that I Love Dance would be a good one for you. It's pretty cheesy though like Sophisticated Productions and dated but it's a good competition that is fair and good for more recreational competitors.

Thank you both but ive already competed in i love dance as a dancer and the studio that im teaching at now is into the whole adjudicated thing which is what sophisticated does. I dont see similarities in either competition but I do have to agree that I am a fan of I Love Dance they run a very clean and proper dance competition where those who should be awarded are. THank you for taking the time to write though =)
