A great teen Halloween ballet is Danse Macabre. They really get into the music because it is kind of dark and untraditional...and you can use some comtemporary choreography. We've used this piece twice over the years and the audience loves it.

You can also try Tocatta and Fugue in D Minor

I did a jungle themed show at the elementary school I teach at. There are lots of good songs out there however, I only had seven classes I did routines for. Here was the playlist:

"WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE"
-"Welsome to the Jungle" -Guns n' Roses
-"Bare Necessities" - Jungle Book
-"The Lion Sleeps Tonight" -various artists do versions of this song
-"I Just can't Wait To Be King" - Lion King
-"George of the Jungle" -Weird Al Jancovic
-"No More Monkeys" -Asheba (from the Putamayo Animal Playground Album)
-"Jungle Boogie"

We're doing a travel theme this year and my SO says this can include modes of transportation, destinations and places, and anything about escaping, running away, or going on vacation or a trip. I've got most of my songs picked but I'm stuck on a few. I need a tap and a jazz song for a 10-12 year old group.
Thanks!

Check out the Monkey: Journey to the West soundtrack. It's based on an old Japanese legend and was turned into an opera. The music is done by The Gorillaz. Here's a link - www.amazon.com . . . I'm using number 8 and 15 this year.
