Hi

I am taking students to the Pulse this year and am wondering about the skill level for each group. We will be attending in Minneapolis, my 13 year olds is an easy decision, intermediate, but I am wondering about my 16 year olds, they are quite strong technically (triple pirouettes, switch splits, fouettes, side leaps etc.) but do not have as much style as I've seen in many kids their age. I want them to be challanged, but not overwhelmed, any suggestions or insight would be much appreciated.

The Pulse is meant for kids their age. Have you ever taken class at BDC? If you have, it will work the same way, so put them in the level you think is best. I would put them in advanced, only because if they are dancing intermediate with 13 year olds, they might feel unappealing. If you put them in advanced and it is overwhelming, they will know to just work a little harder. Regardless of where you put them, there will be LOTS of students in the classes (as in any convention), and they will learn something from it all.
