Hey all, I'm the new Music Director, Heather, and this is the list of all the classes that will be offered. I took a lot of them from Kim's list, but I also added a few. If you are interested in signing-up to take music classes, this is the post for you!

The classes we offer are:

Instrumental studies(Voice, specific instrument):
-Voice
-Wind(Clarinet, Flute, Piccolo, Oboe)
-Piano
-String(Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass)
-Guitar

Music Studies:
-Music Education
-Music History
-Music Theory
-Music Composition

Performance Groups:
~Vocal: Chorus/Chorale, Acappella, Show Choir
~Instrumental: Concert/Symphonic Band(No Strings), Chamber Ensemble(Strings and Piano only)

All Instrumental students must take part in some performance group!

Course Descriptions:

-Voice: Prepares for Performance

-Music Education: Provides education for becoming a music teacher.

-Music History: Music?! Where did it come from and what's it all about.

-Music Theory: Harmony, Chords, etc...

-Music Composition: The Composition program provides students with the fundamental tools of composition. A curriculum offering a thorough exploration of theoretical subjects - harmony, counterpoint, and form - as well as private instruction in composition, enables the student to become familiar with the techniques of various styles of the past, and to discover their own mode of expression.

I used to play the piano in a quintet with piano, cello, 2 violins and a viola for about a year(I had to stop because we moved from Belgium to Holland this summer)

The teachers will teach make-up classes if needed. Say for example someone goes on vaca for a week and misses posting a class they can hold a make-up class if they feel they need to! HTH!

Anyhing else: Am I teaching the beg/int piano class or do luvstadance have it?
