Waltz of the Snowflakes Choreography

Hello!

I am hoping to set the choreography from the waltz of the snowflakes onto a group of dancers and need a video to work from.

I've never tried doing this before and want to understand the choreography/copy right laws for all of this. Has setting someone else's choreography has ever given you problems because it's not your actual work? I plan to give credit where credit is due and won't be claiming it as my own.

Thanks dancers!

I believe (I am not positive) that the original Petipa choreography is now over 100 years old, and is therefore public domain without a danger of copyright infringement. :) If you browse youtube, there's a very large number of snowflake videos; many are bound to be Petipa!

you can probably change it (simplify as well, if necessary) and say it was "based on" or "inspired by" Petipa's choreography...
