ok- i'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes:
i've been a dancer for several years, but have never taken any tumbling classes. now, i have an interest, and i would like to work on some stuff on my own. i can do: cartwheel/roundoff, handstand, backbend, splits. is there anything else that i can teach myself using those basics? i am totally clueless! :) thanks guys!!!!!!!!!

hello

flics and handsprings are your next progression but they require matting and coaching properly - injuries from these are common if not taught properly. Its always best to get proper coaching for technique too. i would look at a local gym club for the best results.

hope this helps :)

Try combinations, power take off to round-off,
try and put something after roundoff, say.. straight jump , tuck or straddle pike jump,
a roundoff jump half turn to cartwheel is possible landing one foot in front of the other,
try from a stand, jump half turn and land ready to do a cartwheel ie in a lunge position,
various rolls, side rolls, need mats, pivots leaps, you may be already able to do,
try chasse cat leap, chasse-scizzorkick-cartwheel,etc
do cartwheels to finish to the side, and to the back/
get some rhythmic equipment...ball, hoop, clubs ribbon, rope and like someone said walkovers..have fun
