Some photoshop drawings I did...

1. Bjork
2. Me dressed in my winter duds
3. A drawing I did for my friend
4. Drawing I did for another friend

Basically what I do is take a photo, take away the color, reduce it to 5 or 6 levels, and fill it in with the airbrush tool, sort of like paint by numbers. It actually takes a really long time and it's a great way to de-stress.

What do you think of my drawings?

These remind me of something I did in a photo class at a local college about 25 years ago. We did it as a three-tone litho-film printing. I did a Charlie Chaplin mime I photographed a couple years earlier at Universal Studios in Hollywood. I won sever contests with it. I will have to scan it if I can get it out of its frame. Your B/W "sketch" of you friend reminded me of this.
My favorite is the self portrait...SOAD as "Nannook of the North"...it is stunning and the coloration captures the cold of where you live/go to school and where I grew up. The Bjork captures her weirdness and the other portrait in color of a friend is also very close in character to the Charlie Chaplin I did...same basic concept only you could do it in color (while it was possible to do something like this in color film, the technique for doing so was extremely complicated and you had almost no control over the results. I never tried it in color, just read about it.

Photoshop is so neat that way. Good job!

I am sooo sorry, but I totally thought the first one of Bjork was Michael Jackson until I read the comments and it kinda scared the living sh*t out of me. I'm not familiar with Bjork though, so my apologies :)
Anyway, they're awesome, good job!
